Well, I chose the wrong time to get into this. It seems that emailing Forscan for an unreleased copy of the software allows IPC writing, but it appears I can't email them without a paid copy and I can't pay for a copy due to the current global issues. I may be waiting a little while.

They are working out the soft top details, but it appears to use the hard top a lot for stability.
