No, I cannot without removing the sub which I strapped/zip ties to the underside of the seat. I also have the rear cargo metal tuff enclosure so that would need to be removed to realize the benefit of folding down the seat.
I did all Kicker speakers, a Key 200.4 amp and a 8” Hideaway mounted under the rear seat utilizing a plug play harness. I looked at their website and it seems they only sell a few packages now but it was a relatively painless install. The Key 200.4 by itself made a huge improvement...
My Bronco is a rattle trap and my new hobby is to chase down loose, poor fitting trim pieces and apply felt tape to fix. The good news is that I’ve made progress. The major pain points were the passenger sun visor, driver and passenger B-pillar post/aft. I’m now chasing a rattle in the...
I would say describing it as a hollow knock is accurate. When you hit the bump are you square to it, as in both tires rise and fall together? I ask because if that is the case and only one side “knocks” you may have a shock issue and I would have service look at it. Furthermore, the front would...
Wow, that looks great with the 35’s! I usually see Kings and 37’s but prefer the wheel gap you have. How’s the ride on the street compare to the Bils?
Correct, I don’t come with previous convertible vehicle experience beyond driving with the top down. With that said I’ve given it 11 months and I still find it unacceptable “my opinion”. It’s not holding up well, chaffing/tear on the rear, rattles at mid hinges, road noise permeates easily...
Agreed, I’m fairly frustrated with the whole hardtop fiasco. The soft top does nothing for road noise and is a rattle trap when off road. It may be the reason I let the Bronco go instead of dropping $5K on a hardtop which may or may not help.
If you have a Sasquatched Bronco it’s most likely that you are hearing the Bilstein shocks engaging the ESCV which is essentially the internal bump stop. The shock piston engages with the end cup with a noticeable clunk, for me usually on droop as in the downside of a bump/hump.
These steps have performed as well as expected, I haven’t had a single chip yet. We’ve been out to the desert a couple of times with them on. I do hear rocks hitting them similar to how my Raptor steps worked when off-road or accelerating once back on road. I’m really happy with the buy and...
@GearShade My Gearshade isn’t fitting properly. From looking at others pics it appears my grommets aren’t in the right spot? Can you verify, 4DR soft top here.
I agree with you on the Raptor ride on the street, it laughs at poor road surfaces. I find the Bronco on the street to be firmer, at times a little unsettled but not unpleasantly so, think expansion joints smaller potholes. Considering how the Bronco was on the street I was pleasantly...
