ah got it. Kearny Mesa Ford I believe has the best pricing so far in San Diego. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/xplan-is-not-cancelled-at-kearny-mesa-ford.7017/
Rick had an awesome post but I think you're taking it a little too far. Lithium mining sucks with it's huge water consumption and risk for environmental contamination, but saying it's worse (or even comparable) to fracking is a huuuuge leap given the wide array of environmental and human health...
Not sure why you feel compelled to die on this hill - the gif is a demo showing the disconnect can gain 4-5" of useful articulation. Even if it's not helpful in that particular instance it doesn't take much imagination to see how it will be helpful under less extreme circumstances.
Tire hung an...
Sure. If your wheel is at full articulation and it's just touching, your not getting traction regardless of SFA or IFS. There's no magic argument to be made that disconnecting swaybars help SFA but not IFS, it'll help both in many different scenarios.
I doubt it at 65 on the highway, but for sure once you're going 80+.
Fuel tank size will definitely be a bigger planning factor off-road excursions than what I'm used to.
I average 16-17 combined on regular fuel in mostly highway so I'm pretty confident a Sasquatched 2.7L Bronco will manage 18-20 in the same conditions.
However, I drive like a total grandma on pavement so YMMV.
We're not getting the Bronco R suspension. No way it's coming with dual shocks up front, pneumatic bumps and 4.0 FRS shocks with 18" of travel in the rear FROM THE FACTORY! I'd shit my pants.
For comparison, upgrading a Raptor to run that kind of kit costs $20-30k (would need SVC Mid Travel or...
Yea Ford BMS can make it tricky to integrate a second battery to the charging system without causing issues. I have mine installed through a Victron Intelligent Combiner connected to the BMS current sensor on the negative terminal, but there's no official guidance and recommendations are mixed...
I have a dual battery setup that's great and I use it all the time. Next vehicle I'm just throwing a portable Li-Ion "solar generator" battery in the trunk and calling it a day.
I don't think Ford is all that worried about cannibalizing sales. They'll be selling Broncos as fast as they can build them for at least the next couple years.
If anything, they'll be happy to shift some of the MY21/22 demand to an even more profitable trim in MY23.
