Just curious if anyone has had a similar experience. Was cruising down the road today streaming some "driving music" on Pandora, had the stereo turned up to 16 or 17. Mid-song, the drivers side dash speaker starts crackling badly. I turn down the music, and when I get to my destination I use...
I used the KC Universal Wire Hider kit ($20) and ran the harness down the driver side windshield and directly connected to the AUX 1 switch (yellow wire) under the hood. Install is surprisingly clean, you don't even notice the wire as it blends into the windshield and cannot be seen from inside...
Do it yourself. Seriously. Its like a 30-minute job, especially if you don't have a roof rack. Literally have to connect 2-wires, and 6-bolts.
Wind noise? Yes. Lots of it. But doesn't bother me much on the interstate. Can make phonecalls difficult at 80mph. "Sounds like you're in a wind...
Yeah, seems like CarPlay just kind of sucks. I liked having Waze on the screen, but it isn't worth the hassle of all of the other nonsense. Gonna disconnect the wireless CarPlay and see how it goes.
Side note, I see you're just up the road in Sarasota. Small world.
After a month with my Bronco, there are a few things with the entertainment system that are driving me INSANE, so I'm hoping there some settings I can tweak to get the system to "knock off the nonsense."
I've got a 2022 Wildtrak Lux with the BO system. I'm using CarPlay, and thus Waze for my...
Glad I found this thread. Popped the smaller panel off and used a felt furniture pad (sticky on one side) and stuck it on the sub box where the panel was contacting it on the bottom right. 99% of the buzzing/rattle is GONE. At least the sub is now serviceable for the time being.
New, in the bag carpet floor mats for a 4-door Bronco. Came with my Wildtrak but I also had the rubber mats so I don’t need these. $40. Willing to ship on your dime.
Update: Wired the lights up today running the wire harness down the passenger A-pillar/windshield, tying in directly to the Yellow Aux 1 switch wire under the hood and grounding to a bolt right by it. Ordered the KC Universal Wire hider to clean up the look a little, but overall turned out...
My 2022 Wildtrak 4-door does the same thing. Narrowed it down to the rear driver side window. Sounded like the window was cracked because, well, it was. Seems like randomly when you open the door and close it, the window doesn't seal well. A quick up and down of the window with the door...
Took your advice and swapped out only the 4-corner 4" speakers with 2 sets of Kicker 46CSC44 speakers. It really brightened up the sound, and now it doesn't sound like ALL of the music is coming out of the center channel. For $150 including the Hoel wiring harnesses I'm fairly pleased with the...
BaT auctions as a whole have slowed to a crawl. I've been clicking through on a few auctions from the daily e-mail, and have been shocked at how low some of the auctions were sitting on everything from Broncos to niche Porches and classic muscle cars. People are starting to hang onto their...
So, just spent a fun Saturday installing a set of Amp Research Powersteps on my 4-door Wildtrak. I didn't have stepbars to begin with so that eliminated a few steps. What I learned was this install is more challenging than it looks on the surface, so I thought I'd share a few tips to save...
