tl;dr yet another front license plate holder (yes my state mandates it)
I swore I wouldn't design/build things for this rig and only buy (I did NOT want any more projects!) but all the front plate holders I see hang down too far and are just going to get ripped off in deep snow or trails, or...
Definitely think the new style looks better, cleaner.
Would love it if you built a color tester on your website, step 1 choose bronco doors (suggest camera angle is above the front corner with truck at an angle, iso style), step 2 bronco color, step 3 mesh color. Aka a Product Configurator...
Lol old school there - cars used to control ignition by distributors, which used this little mechanical switch called points to turn the current on and off to each spark plug. Haven't seen one since high school.... Fun fact, distributors are super easy to open and if you were to jam the points...
Stick to your guns, it's worth it!
If good things come to those who wait, then waiting a great long time means something truly great is coming your way 😉
Thanks for the pictures and tips - did you try hosting by hand at any point? I'm on the fence about just using a couple pulleys to make it easier and direct over to the wall where I would secure the rope. Much easier than the winch, though less fun for sure 😊
Could it dewonkified by shimming the other bolts with some hefty washers? Or would that lose needed frame structural support like in the event of a high center situation?
Quick access to a good shovel is better IMHO than a fire extinguisher out here in Central Oregon, because 1) by the time you get to it (assuming it was not your rig that started it) it will be too big for the usual home depot dry chem which lasts like 15 seconds, and 2) the soil is very silty...
Very interesting cam action there, clever use of the ratchet too. Unclear why you need both ends to have disconnect pins though, but great to see compression fittings finally being used (was trying to figure out how to do without a $5k tool!) I really hope they offer a blacked out version -...
And my 3rd one (no I never heard of 4chan why do you ask?) has to be the view of the pew pew tie-downs. I know some people dislike then (YMMV), and yeah they'll serve a purpose off-roading, but on a day-to-day basis I see them and they just make me smile, again whoever designed those WELL DONE!
Here's another, the ignition button. It could've been a simple circle, after all that's cheapest and easiest, but they brought the headlight/signal design into it,, completely superfluous and I love it!
Like the subject says, let's give some positive feedback to @Ford Motor Company to pass along to the hundreds/thousands of people that took pride in bringing this amazing truck back to life! This can also be a great post to send to someone asking if they should buy a Bronco ;)
There's a lot...
Thank you @RoLyMa27 and @Saltlife4shore!
Is there any sort of standard way in this community to assemble all these excellent, informative posts into a single VFAQ that is then pinned so we don't have to sift through 30+ parts of churn?? If not can we set something up somewhere?
VFAQ by the...
Kendall Ford (formerly Robberson) in Bend, Oregon, were great before (calling every other day for 3 weeks while my Bronco was stuck in the railyard), during (no markup), and after the sale (my Bronco developed a leak in the front diff after a week) - I highly recommend them!
