The way I see it, if you want the big tires, you want the big engine. If you can't get the manual with the big engine, it makes sense that you can't get the manual with the big tires.
So essentially, the heart of the problem goes back to the manual not being offered with the 2.7.
Good reply, right on the mark, IMO.
The first vehicles built are usually option heavy / high trim / high price.
Overall, I think Ford did a good job with trim levels. They do make some sense to me. Do they allow me to build a Bronco exactly how I want? No actually. But, keeping certain...
If the MAX tow rating for the Bronco is 3,500 lb as they have indicated, the Sasquatch package will certainly reduce that figure. I hope you have a light aluminum trailer!
I would not recommend permanent removal. But, like I said, hopefully there will be an aftermarket kit that simply allows you to pull a couple pins when hitting the trail, and put them back in, when you hit the road again. There are lots of these available for Jeeps, but not most other...
I hope they get these "First Editions" to customers before other models.
The Gladiator "Launch Edition" was a disaster, with the "Launch Editions" getting delivered months after other models were available.
I'm sure the aftermarket will have a simple sway bar disconnect option to offer you. Sure, it will not activate with a button push, you will have to pull a pin or something, but it would be way cheaper than upgrading to the Badlands, just to get the sway bar disconnect.
Overall, 9/10 on the Bronco from me. So much win. The features, capability, and variety of trim levels seems quite good. There seems to be a Bronco for almost everybody. I don't care about the manual (like the majority of buyers,) so no grumpiness from me there. Pricing seems fair at first...
Why do I feel like this group is only about 1,500 people who would actually pony up the cash.
0 of those people have tried a Bronco with the 2.3 + manual combination.
The reveal was not what I expected. I expected speakers and presentations after the video, but it just ended.
it’s fine though. The media coverage gave lots of follow up content.
I see so much win here!
The first couple complaints that come to mind for me are:
Towing is good enough for my current needs, but was expecting more.
I was hoping to see upgraded audio (B&O) at a lower price point. It looks like you need to go up to Outer Banks or Badlands with Lux package...
I’m surprised by the 3,500 MAX tow rating. I was expecting more.
3,500 lb would work for me, but not less. I’m also curious what trims/ options carry that rating.
Went to cast a vote. Stuck around to learn that the UPGRADED engine option in the Chevy TrailBlazer goes 0-60mph in 9.4 seconds. I wonder how slow the base engine is...
More recently, the Jeep Sandstorm concept (JL Based) was powered by the 6.4L Hemi back in 2018 (the first year for the JL). It was a more highly modified vehicle than the 392 concept though.
