I had to buy a new jack for the Bronco. It has an advertised 19.5“ lift. It just barely gets my SAS bronco (and true 35“ tires) off the ground... And that's with a thick rubber jack-pad I added, which gives an extra inch if lift. I've been using a 2x6 under the frame to get more.
While the true "jack points" are inaccessible for jackstands with the jack in place, I felt comfortable placing the stands behind (but as close as possible) to the jack point as bash plates and such would allow.
I may be getting old, but I never depend on one point of failure. I will leave the...
Before I assured myself that I wouldn't accidentally lock my diffs or go into 4L while speeding, I was hesitant to turn the knob myself.... The goat modes don't appear until after you turn the knob.
I don't think that the Mods should have edited this thread. There is no PSA here. The info provided, while correct, is akin to "push the clutch in before shifting into 1st". You want to be able to shift 4wd modes up to certain speeds.... When encountering unexpected snow on a highway, for...
I'm not especially interested in the wet look, but more so in keeping the tires less dull (and protected or easier to clean if that's an option).
Are the only options "wet look"?
Edit: Ignore this.... I have never been into detailing, but a Google search showed me just how many options there...
OP, I have the same vehicle as you for the same reasons.
It always baffles me why people who buy a vehicle to play on rocks look down on those who want the same capable vehicle for real-world usage.
I expect the disconnect will come in handy for heavily rutted paths & back roads, narrow or...
It's possible. Especially if the credit union has "tiers" or whatever you want to call them. Mine provides lower interest rates for active members... I was furtunate to swing a 2.15% at my CU.
I've broken several of these, but yesterday I figured out why...
I was trying to pry the whole clip out like the orange ones. But, these are designed to pop apart (half left in metal, half left in trim). They snap back together like a Levi's button. Removal & install was simple when I figured...
I think the confusion is that the MSDS states "possible irritation" under skin contact risks. But this is for the product, not the treated vinyl left behind.
The last page of the MSDS clearly lists boat seats as an intended use.
Ugh. It was user error. 😂 I opened the sub back up to find plastic wadding everywhere... I had plugged all the voids and horns of the enclosure while filing off plastic and never removed it. Also pretty sure the plastic nub at 6’oclock of the opening was preventing any sealing. That nub is now...
It is described in one of the threads (I know there are dozens), but it is clearly present in one of the Forscan menus. If not in the menu where we are editing the modules, probably under the service menu with the wrench icon.
I don't have my laptop with me, but I recall the option was clearly...
I went with 35x10.5 Kenda RTs and have no issues at 40psi.
As far as tire pressure, anytime I change wheels, tires, or normal payload; I will ignore the factory suggestions.
I like to do the chalk test, where you use sidewalk chalk and clean concrete to get a clear indication of how the tread...
You are advertising a product on a forum, don't expect everyone to like it. I too think it's an ugly downgrade, no need to take it personally unless you are the guy who designed it. If you like it, so be it.
That being said... It is obviously wider in one dimension but you covered that end up...
I've actually experienced significant improvement since that last post, so maybe this speaker material benefits from break-in more than others. Will give it more time. Bass is still pretty dead on one particular track (old Run DMC) compared to OEM. And this is with the settings heavily favoring...
After using a clay bar and waxing, I applied some graphene coating (which is applied like a wax). It's nano-graphite coating that is less permanent and easier to apply than ceramic coatings.
This graphene has been my best investment yet. All I have to do is spray the body with a garden hose...
Edit 7-1-22: All of my issues below were user error, and I could definitely recommend the Polk DB. The factory sub is still technically a little louder/boomier , but I am sure I gained in quality.
Interesting. I just finished installing my new sub on the OEM amp myself. I chose the Polk DB 8"...
It's possible (and easy) if you have a Mac that is new enough to run bootcamp and which has enough space to create a windows partition.
Once you create the partition, you can install a free version of windows then install Forscan. Was super easy following a few guides on Forscan forums.
The...
