The ford.com/myaccount page is showing an estimated delivery of 6/11 to 6/17 which doesn't match anything the dealer has told me... This continues to be an adventure, that's for sure.
Appreciate you guinea pigging this for us. I did this with the Wrangler system and it took 4 subs to find the right match. I was planning on trying the Tang Band 6.5 if this didn't pan out.
I think it's fair to say that we don't know if there are internal differences between the Bronco amp...
Yep, tracker is down for me and "my account" site still says in production. Friday update from dealer says I am still in the shipping yard and haven't moved since last Monday.
Yes, roof rack, bumper bars, decals, PPF, etc all add to the time for production. What's interesting is that I didn't get any of the add ons... And my dealer has confirmed I'm built and at the shipping yard, but still show "in production".
Right, we don't usually refer to bass as crisp, but tight, muddy or even boomy are common terms. Back when I did this on the Jeep JK, one of the guys referred to the stock sub as making wet fart noises instead of clean bass... :ROFLMAO:
Interesting as I'm not familiar with the Fusion audio options... Learning as we go here.
It looks like it is a full range driver (not a coax) DP5Z-18808-E. I sourced this from an OEM Ford parts site. Found one on ebay with a rear image and the image shows it as 2 ohm.
EDIT:
Of course we now...
Thanks for that, offers some clarity. First, we have a single channel input, so the 2 channel output is definitely identical to each VC. Clears that up.
Now, the only Fusion that I can find with subs seems to be the Sony model... And those subs are 2.3 ohm. The part number that comes back...
While I have ZERO intention of making this more complex. I get the whole idea is to make it easy to add the "deleted" sub back in to the system.
Just a thought... It wouldn't be too difficult to add an l-pad attenuator to the sub to be able to turn it down a little. This would make the sub...
I don't have experience with the Key 200.4... Hopefully the other guys can help. I have it on my phase 2 "list" of mods. I'll be watching for comments.
In general, most car amps that are rated at 4ohms, are also stable at 2ohms. If bridged, they are usually locked at 4ohms.
On a 4/26 blend I am still at "in production". Dealer says they can see that it is at the shipping yard to be loaded.
What was your blend date? It sure seems to take a while to get that update.
Technically the blend date is the date where your chassis and your body meet on the assembly line. They have both been on their own lines for days getting built but blend is when they come together.
The blend date is found on your window sticker, top center left....
Here is mine... 04-26-2023...
If putting a 2 ohm sub on an amp designed for 4 ohm load, sometimes you can get this effect. But a 2 ohm load on an amp designed for 2 ohms you wouldn't really have this outcome.
This helps understand where we are. I had missed this clarification earlier if it was made.
Yes, there can be a...
To be fair, you aren't the only one with the feeling that it might be a little bass heavy. I'm beginning to wonder if the 2ohm sub is contributing. The lower impedance allows the amp to produce more power. All experience tells me to use the 2 ohm Kicker... But real world feedback cannot be...
I was told that the cars are loaded to a destination. So it will be however long it takes to get a car full of Phoenix destination vehicles before it leaves. It's also pretty well known that Phoenix gets a lot of cars... So we shouldn't lag much. And Yeah, it seems likely we will get...
The "as built" site is probably the most accurate site we have. It's connected to the Bronco and the internet... It would seem that it is almost "live".
