I'm in my late 50's and have only owned four cars. Mainly because my '02 Escape is a Beast.
Maybe poll should be "have you owned/do you currently own"? Thanks.
I've wanted a Bronco my whole life. If Ford only made the new Bronco Sport, I'd probably buy a used Escape when mine becomes undrivable//too expensive to fix. The design of the new Bronco really does it for me. As others have stated, retro looks with 21st century technology. Finally, I like more...
A former manager referred to my Escape as a Jeep. My kneejerk reply was "Jeep is a registered trademark of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Don't insult my Ford."
I had a good paying job (which I hate) that collapsed due to covid. Thankfully, I have a part time job that I love, but am running a small monthly deficit. I had been saving money for the last three years to write a check for the Bronco. 90% of that is still in the bank. Am not looking forward...
I'd like to see colors in person, too, but with the choices limited on the Base model, doesn't help that much. I would like to know what the (additional) delay is for Velocity Blue which I'd consider if a white roof is an option.
Everything that was said above. Definitely shop around for financing, and wait for a '22 MY if you can't swing it now. If all else fails, cut expenses, dine out fewer times or make your own coffee, for example, and/or get a part time job. I did that in '02 when I bought my Escape.
The decision point is being able to sit comfortably and see the front at night. Being short sucks. I would be SO depressed if the Bronco didn't work since I've been waiting years to own one.
Am happy with the most basic Base two door + 2.7L and automatic. Want as few nanny features as...
Several years ago, drove a buddy to a dealer two hours away to buy a used Civic for his daughter. He bought it after a visual inspection and test drive. His daughter still drives it.
Am hoping he returns the favor and drives me to Leonardtown Ford so I can buy my Bronco.
Depends on my job situation. Would love to take a week long road trip with NO destination in mind. Just me, the Bronco, and a Rand McNally. Go where the wind takes us.
