I used this sub in my upgrade. I have it installed on the driver’s side panel in the back storage area. It doesn’t take up much room. It will rattle a bit when I turn the base up too much but I have an adjustment knob by my right leg on the console and can quickly adjust. I’m also planning to...
I don’t know if they did put anything there. I’m guessing not. That was what I was thinking woul be my next step. Probably fill it up with poly fill like I did the rest of the speakera
The only negative with this spot is it can rattle a little on songs with a lot at base when you crank it up. I’ve seen people put it on the back of the driver’s side rear seat. If you don’t have people in back too often that would be fine but otherwise it would be too loud for anyone sitting...
Soft top is noisy, but it’s great to be able to flip it back in seconds to enjoy some good weather. I was planning to get a hardtop, but I’m not sure I will any more.
There is one spot on mine that builds up a nice little puddle. We don’t get much ice here so it’s not an issue but does seem strange that it would sag so much.
I’m on my first tank of 91 octane after using 87 octane for 1000 miles. I’ve seen a bump from around 15.3mpg to 16.8mpg. I do a lot of city driving, so was surprised to see the increase. Will see if this continues beyond this tank. I have the 2.7
This is what I did. I've not found a dealer yet who claims to understand how to flash the rear speakers. The system sounded fine without the sub woofer , but the sub really rounded out the sound.

The door handle inserts and 12” screen protector worked great! The wet install with soap and water made it much easier to relocate and get the bubbles out. Considering the door protection now.
I've been pretty much set on Area 51 since I first saw it. I still love it now and get a LOT of compliments. That said, I did see the Iconic Silver at the Bronco Off Rodeo in Vegas and it looked beautiful! If we didn't already have a silver Honda I may have jumped.
I’m can get more bass than I need. It really fills out the sound and works great even when the top is down. Having the control allows me to adjust depending on the type of music to get the right level.
It may be worth it if it helps with windshield chips. After 500 miles into my Bronco I had a rock chip that quickly turned into a 10" crack and required replacement. Windshields can only be ordered via Ford and are pricey. I'm glad I had a $250 deductible versus the ~$1500 for the replacement.
