Yes. Mine is doing that as well as having a small tear on the passenger’s side where it hits a plastic component when flipped back. I took it to my dealer and it will be replaced under warranty whenever a new top comes available.
The dealer looked at it, took photos, and reached out to Ford. My dealer said it should be covered by warranty and are taking that approach. I’ve not heard back officially but will be calling to check in today
I’m taking it to the dealer I bought it from tonight to get the warranty process started. I’m assuming the best and that Ford will take care of it and wanted to underarms if it is an issue others are having too. Knowing that it’s not just me having the issue tells me there is some sort of...
I hear you, however I never even thought that this would be an issue. Didn’t have an issue like this on my Galaxie. Didn’t have an issue like this on my 64 MGB, so I never thought to check whether to top folded properly until I saw the tear. I definitely do a walk around before driving, but...
Exactly and it shouldn’t require manually readjusting the top to make the S shape. T
The irony is that my 1966 Ford Galaxie convertible top worked perfectly with no binding or manual adjustments required. So, you’d think they could get it right 55 years later.
I plan to ask for a new top. I’ve had convertibles before and never had an issue like this one. I’d hadn’t just paid $50k for this thing and found others with the same problem I might not make a stink but they should address this for us. It’s not a big deal to readjust but it certainly impacts...
I have the same issue and am pretty certain I’ve figured it out. When you flip the top back to the first position, look at whether the top hits a plastic piece with a pinch warning on it. It’s quite thin and sharp. I have this same issue on the passenger’s side of mine. The driver’s side is...
Love the green color. That’s my one negative in actually getting my 2021 in November- I didn’t have this option. The sound upgrade will vastly increase the fun factor too!
When opening/closing the top look at anything that could be hitting that section at an point of the movement.
I have a similar fraying spot about halfway down the-passenger’s side of the top.
After some thinking about what I may have hit to gray the top, I took it through the process of...
Both were great events! Just finished getting the caked mud (concrete?) off of my Bronco. If anyone found a California plate starting with 8Z, I left it somewhere on the trail at Prarie City (not intentionally). Fun times regardless.
I happened to see these two Broncos being delivered to Legend Auto in Sacramento today. I’m sure they will be marked up, but thought someone might be interested. Looks like they bought them from Tower Ford. No, I don’t work for Legend nor do I know much about them beyond seeing two nice Broncos...
I may be too late to help, but the dash and rear were easy with inexpensive interior tools from Harbor Freight. Just take your time and don’t force anything. Kick panels are the issue.
The first thing I broke was the parking brake switch on the Bronco at the Off Roadeo in Vegas last August. Took me all of 30 seconds…too used to old cars with mechanical parking brakes. On my Bronco -Windshield, kick panel speaker cover, netting on driver’s side door, etched the plastic cover to...
My wife was very wishy washy as mine was on the train...so much so I almost cancelled the order until I drove it. Since that time, she's told several people - unprompted - how she's happy I ended up getting it, because she's seen how much fun I have driving it and the great times I've had with...
