Mine has gotten rained on with the top off a few times. The first time it had an inch of rain dumped in it when the forecast showed sunny skies. I wouldn’t want it to happen too often but everything still works.

Don’t over think it. The hitch and extension ought to be stronger than the hammock. If you can’t put 300 lbs on it no one should be towing with it.

I was going to say the same. 350 lb rating takes into account the up and down forces while towing. Someone sitting in a hammock shouldn’t be an issue. Maybe just try to keep it under 600lbs, how big are your friends?

There are a few 24s at a dealer near me that all have a little over 1,000 miles on them that they’ve had marked down for months. Mine had 4 miles on it when I test drove it and about 50 when I made the purchase at the end of the day. 695 doesn’t sound bad, hopefully the loanees were good to it.

When I was looking last year the tow module was difficult to find or more expensive than the full kit. I got the full factory kit or $270 from Auto Nation Parts.
