None of your reasoning applies to those who reserved and then ordered a Bronco and were told what it was going to cost before production ever began. So please stop with the supply/demand angle.
I donāt think anyone on this forum has issue with a dealership charging market price for a Bronco on...
Can we please exclude the
āEntirely reasonableā to charge more than was agreed upon when the order was placed??????? Sorry that I canāt comprehend that opinion. It is really hard to get a dealer to put anything in writing on an order that wouldnāt require hiring an attorney and paying legal...
Reserving 13 months after reservations went live, donāt expect a build date anytime soon for a WT. Iām close to reserving 13 hours after launch with no idea when mine will get built.
Your post doesnāt address the main issue going on with Bronco sales costs right now. If a dealership orders your Bronco and agrees to charge MSRP, why are you giving them justification to charge more when itās delivered. Please explain.
Broncos are currently valued and selling well above MSRP currently, even used with thousands of miles on them. Itās fine if a seller can get more than they paid.
But what the issue is on so many of the threads on this forum is dealerships who verbally or in writing in some cases said they...
To those with money to burn, $20k is a drop in the bucket. I think they call it a ārounding errorā. They want the thing that others canāt get and will pay whatever for it. I wouldnāt call them idiots if they an afford it and that ADM has no effect on their situation.
And Iāll add that these...
So is it safe to assume my dealer's current allocation has been exhausted due to non-constrained reservations holders and walk-in orders if other WT orders with the same constraints as mine but later reservation dates got scheduled today?
If so, this could/will be a never-ended cycle of...
I dealt with Thomas Hostetter when I reordered. Guess I need to have a follow-up email discussion with him about pricing and get something in writing besides the DORA I signed when they placed my order. I don't need $1,500 in accessories. Vehicle is already pricey enough.
Thanks for the...
My order is through Jim Ellis as well and I specifically asked my salesman about ADM and add ons again when I reordered for MY2022 a few months ago and was "told" there won't be any. Other than getting him to say that in an email, I don't know how to get this in writing since I don't want to...
@George Ellis I reordered my WT for MY2022 with Jim Ellis a couple weeks ago. I met with my new salesman and was assured it would still be sold to me at MSRP with no dealer add ons required like I was originally told when I put in my 2021 order last January. All I have in writing is the order...
The problem is that it only takes the dealer adding even a small markup at time of delivery that was not discussed or they flat out lied they wouldnāt charge when the order was placed to get people on this forum And anyone else who knows their game to walk away from their order. Then they can...
Itās just completely backward from my perspective as a potential first time Ford buyer who has wanted a Bronco since I turned 16 in ā95 that Ford is rewarding the big market dealerships who are charging ADMs to try to make reservation holders walk away from their orders so they can sell them for...
@Peter Gosenya I don't see how they are going to build all current reservation holders' Broncos in 2022 when Ford is sticking to this allocation system they reworked for MY2022.
Read the Granger threads discussing that because of the way Ford changed up the allocation formula, they are now only...
I wish I was picking up my WT, but I'm just going to finalize my reorder for a 2022 after getting pushed to next year like most who ordered with a MIC top. The salesman wanted to do everything by email but I want to speak to him in person and get things signed in writing so we are all aware of...
Who knows but I guess I will find out on Saturday if they try to tack it onto my build. Jim Ellis Kia had a mandatory $5,000 "Safety Package" add-on when they were quoting me Telluride prices in 2019. When I asked what that was, the sales kid, yes kid, told me the main benefit of that package...
I'm going to Jim Ellis this weekend to finalize my 2022 WT re-order. We had a verbal agreement for MSRP when I placed the order in January before the horror stories about ADM and getting confirmed pricing in writing started happening. Seems dealers aren't even honoring the written agreements...
Has anyone with a Bronco order through Jim Ellis had their rig delivered yet? I had a verbal/handshake agreement at MSRP for my 2021 WT order but that salesman left the dealership and I just sent them my updated 2022 specs so they can re-order it. Now that I have seen the stories about what...
