I don't think Ford will be 'pushing' lower end trims. They will schedule what they can build. Likely, this will be non-Squatch soft tops with lower end interiors. Dealers with more allocations than orders will get these. It's really in Ford's best interest to clear out the existing higher end...
@CCPK1 On the sound deadening: the Soundskins pricing really isn't that bad. For the same $400, you would get their bulk roll, which is 64.5 square feet, vs. the Bronco kit at 60 square feet. All of this stuff is more expensive than it was two years ago.
The most common upgrade to the B&O is better, more efficient aftermarket speakers, a sub amp, and an aftermarket sub. If you don't feel confident with adding the sub and amp, there are a number of fairly compact amplified sub enclosures that your local car audio shop will install for a fee.
The...
The B&O system is a bit more complicated to upgrade with aftermarket amps. In order to do so, you need to replace the factory amp/dsp, which is located next to the factory subwoofer.
The A2B module (there are now three different ones sold: NAV-TV, PAC, and the Axxess) take a digital signal from...
Nice job. I have ordered the Lux package, so I'll try to make the most of the B&O for the front stage. The Audiofrog GS42s are nice options for the L/R dash. My chief concern is whether the B&O pushes enough power to overcome wind/road noise.
If I end up going for an aftermarket amp for...
BL: Sway bar disconnect. WT: Hoss 3.0 if you ordered it that way in '22 (standard in '23). But if you just care about the tires and ride height, 2.7 'Squatches are the same except cosmetics.
Because there is greater demand for all the 'Squatch models than supply, they will go for a premium...
The Stinger tailgate box has gotten a lot of positive reviews. MTI makes a nice box, too. More money, but you get a bigger selection of subwoofers. https://www.mtiacoustics.net/ford.html#!/2021-Ford-Bronco-Tailgate-Subwoofer-enclosure/p/441936679/category=127528592
When Bronco was being designed, there was much speculation about it being a reskinned Everest. Ford did much better. The OP would probably love the 4Runner.
I've never had to replace a broken one. I've watch videos on replacing them. It looks like if you prepare with spares and the correct tools, a field repair that can get you to an alignment shop isn't too bad.
All good options. I am thinking about the Audiofrog GS42s for the dash when my WT gets built. I am going Lux, so hopefully these plus some sound deadening around the B&O sub compartment will keep me satisfied for a bit. Eventually, I will probably go the NAV-TV route, DSP and higher end amped...
The additional non-squatch BL travel (from my recall) is the delta between the spacer on the end of the squatch Bilsteins and the smaller wheel radius. I never understood why they just didn't use the squatch Bilsteins on both. That spacer is a little under 3/4".
Also, if you are using stock...
Excellent! (Still waiting on the magical build date here). I have thought about spraying my mythical Wildtrak MIC black to increase the durability. Also, when Bestop comes out with their longer version of the Sunrider, a darker clamshell would match the cloth top better.
