2.3L here. It depends on the year model.
The 2025 years onward have some quite impactful changes, engine performance included (+~25HP & +~25 ftlb/TQ).
I have the 2025 and I do not see the need to do anything crazy for HP / TQ increases.
However, I will need to update that statement after mods...
I've also seen someone on here remove / disable the shutter actuators. It's not a diesel, so no real risk of running out of your operational temperature range.
Plan on doing the same once the time frees up.
Apologies on if I missed this being asked earlier:
Have you had the opportunity to test the droop on these big tires yet?
I am sold on 37s at the moment, but am curious as to how the suspension system reacts when 40s are thrown on.
While I do wish I ended up with the 2.7L, I have enjoyed my 2.3L surprisingly well. I have yet to drive a 2.7L, but I honestly don't find myself looking for more oomph in the current stock format (33s).
That being said, I am sure that opinion will change once I throw the 37s and a few hundred...
Sup bro. I'll wheel with you if you're willing to drive around a little.
I'm in MD, so I have to drive several hours to get to good trail. I'm in the process of building mine as well. I've hit some trails around the VA area to resounding success with my stock Badlands.
Cool build broski!
Have you considered painting the hard top white?
I've seen some retro builds with White hardtops that look so clean. Unfortunately, mine is all white so.... :/
That's great to hear! Thank you for that info.
My other concern is the gearing: Gearing for 37 is a ~25% reduction. Have you experienced any issues running 33s with that?
I guess my concern is more about alignment issues springing up. The only thing keeping me from doing it really is the looming dread of having to re-tune my suspension setup every time I make the switch. But if there's no setup necessary, just a hot-swap, then I'll probably do it. :D
Thinking...
To sweeten the deal:
Here are some pictures from my first outing in the stock 2025 Badlands (non-Sasquatch). I was very impressed with the capabilities despite of the Bronco in stock form. Most features (save the Trail Turn Assist) proved extremely useful and worked flawlessly.

Hello friends!
I hope you're all enjoying your Broncos. I surely am enjoying mine. I am doing some planning for the future, as we all tend to do, and have a question for you all:
Is it possible to run 33/35" AT tires for daily driving use, then switch to a set of 37" MT for the weekend...
