I NEVWER asked for peoples opinion on delete/keep the spare.
I only wanted advise on the best kit of tools to have if you delete the spare.
This thread devolved with all these weird off topic comments....
because: A
& because I think enormous spares on tailgates look absurd,
& because I think it detract some of the functionality of the tail gate / door.
& because I prefer the more clean look
* & yes, when I go out of town, I would bolt one up...
well these examples are not pretty, I will agree with that.
They were just an example to show that there are solution out there, and there will be solutions for the Bronco.
And it would be pretty easy to make a solution - and change it to body color - so it looks factory.
Thanks for the insights - I guess the question is:
- What compact tool combination is best for option #1?
- Is there a compact alternative for option #2? That can live inside the vehicle.

Because its ugly, heavy, and 99.99% of the time you don't need it.
Honestly, many cars come without a spare now days.
It feels like its included for "the rugged look" - as in: " I might be far far from civilization and get a flat!!"

- WHAT IS THE SMALLEST THING YOU CAN GET TO KEEP YOU ROLLING?
* SO YOU DONT NEED TO WAIT FOR A TOW TRUCK IF YOU GET A PUNCTURE.
1) PLUG KIT, JACK & AIR PUMP
2) FIX A FLAT x 10 cans
3) A 35" SPARE TIRE, behind the rear seats...
