  1. UPDATE: After 2 years of waiting and only a week left, I think I'm going to pass on the Bronco

I dunno, the generations that can drive stick shift cars will die off in the next thirty years!
  2. My Bronco was sold to someone else.

You, my friend, are going to get piled on. In the future, read more than just the first message. Have at him, boys...

  4. My Bronco was sold to someone else.

I have a January 21 order/October 21 re-order, and I never dealt with a salesperson. Every single person on the Stephens Auto Center list deals with the Internet Manager for order placement. When their vehicle arrives, they sell a salesperson to complete the transaction.
  5. Ford Credit question

Apply to your bank/credit union, and a couple other places. Once you have one hard pull on your credit, you won't get dinged for additional ones within the short period that you shop around rates. Don't sit down on delivery day with the F&I person without having a competitive offer in hand.
  6. My Bronco was sold to someone else.

Yup. The double-downers will double down. So obvious. So boring. It happens here EVERY time anyone has an issue with an order. Makes you wonder, huh?
  7. My Bronco was sold to someone else.

Yeah, this forum has turned into the Clown Show. When I posted frustration my Day 2 reservation hasn't been scheduled, these clowns came out of the woodwork. "Did you place an order?" "Did you place a second order for a 22?" Uh, yeah, of course I did, Clown. I kind of wonder if these clowns...
  8. My Bronco was sold to someone else.

Stop victim blaming or get off the thread, already.
  9. UPDATE: After 2 years of waiting and only a week left, I think I'm going to pass on the Bronco

Thanks, very, very helpful. The BMW reference is a great touchpoint, as I had an '02 M3. Currently have a 1974 Porsche 914 with the 905 transmission, so I enjoy a manual that feels downright agricultural. My most recent experience with a Japanese tranny/stick was an MR2 Spyder, which behaved...
  10. UPDATE: After 2 years of waiting and only a week left, I think I'm going to pass on the Bronco

After reading this entire thread, I have to ask: how could you possibly turn your back on such an argumentative community? 😂😂
  11. UPDATE: After 2 years of waiting and only a week left, I think I'm going to pass on the Bronco

Interestingly, this was said about exotics, once Ferrari and Porsche switched from mechanical to computerized systems. Both the Ferrari 360 and the Porsche 996 were decried as vehicles that would only depreciate, never reach collectable status. That has proven not to be the case, as there is a...
  12. UPDATE: After 2 years of waiting and only a week left, I think I'm going to pass on the Bronco

Very interested to hear more, as I have a 7MT on order. I've driven manual cars for ages, and in 4x4 rigs, I had stick shifts in a 1998 Wrangler 2.5 4 cyl Sport, and a 2008 FJ Cruiser. Most modern manuals are really light. For instance, my daily is currently a 2018 GTI. Helped a friend retrieve...
  13. Looks like we're being pushed to 2023

That's a great point. This isn't a venture capital funded startup like Rivian, this is a mass-produced FORD, and it's two years past the initial unveiling. Think back to the July 2020 reservation scramble, it was crazy at the time that it took six months of some delays and spotty communication...
  14. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Well, I'm sitting at #7 on the 2022 unscheduled list. But I'm waiting on a VIN for a 2 door Badlands. Hmm.
  15. Looks like we're being pushed to 2023

Well, frankly, I'd be surprised if Ford ever acknowledged Day 1/2 order holders again. At this point, it's embarrassing and a non-defendable situation. Look how everyone has mocked the "Hang in there!" hammocks and the "Count the days!" calendars. There is not a single thing they can do to...
  16. CURRENT CONSTRAINTS (July 12, 2022) and Customer Phone Line Tips

Years back, I saw a feature on 20/20 about people who placed factory orders for Morgans, patiently waiting an average of seven years for delivery. For some reason, that piece comes to mind...
  17. CURRENT CONSTRAINTS (July 12, 2022) and Customer Phone Line Tips

Yup, when I check the list my dealer has graciously shared with all order holders and remove the 99s and Raptors, I'm #8 in line for a Bronco. But I'm waiting on a 2 door Badlands, so chances are extremely slim that I'll get a '22 VIN.
  18. Looks like we're being pushed to 2023

Mine deleted Sasquatch a month back.
