Does the basket mount underneath the stock tire carrier? Also, have you been able to calculate the maximum safe weight the tailgate can support before needing reinforced hinges?
I added a brace on mine because I wanted to add a tire-mounted cargo basket for long trips, after realizing the tire...
Congrats - the color is incredible, and really changes the look of the Raptor fender flares for the better! Much higher quality looking than the MIC flares, which from some angles look like an afterthought.
I love this color so much, and probably would have opted for it if it was available on...
Oh, I think you misunderstood. I posited that the engines were designed with auto start stop in mind, as opposed to the OEM slapping something stop a platform that wasn't designed to accommodate frequent starts and stops - not that the engine itself is bulletproof.
Happy to brighten your day...
Laughable that people think auto start/stop is detrimental to engine health, or laughable that someone would think it isn't?
Sure. Additionally, I haven't found robust evidence that auto start/stop is simply being tacked onto existing powertrains not engineered with that use case in mind. If...
Have you had any other issues between 0-100k? Did you notice any sudden change in handling, or hear a loud sound?
Curious what we should all be looking out for in the event this happens.
They gave pretty specific updates for Entune systems like the one on my 17 Tacoma. The newer infotainment systems with modems might be handled differently, but the trouble I had with mine was that every almost release note was about features being removed. OpenTable, Yelp, Facebook, and...
Have they abused user collected vehicle data in the past? Honestly curious whether there have been any past incidents, or if this is more of a general mistrust
Yeah, that's a different kind of wear for sure, but not really the point I was intending to make (more generally, that people in this thread are discussing making it to 30k with normal use)
They might be boring by comparison, but they're great if you intend to keep them for the long haul or put them through a lot of abuse with trips. I've beaten the heck out of 2 second generation Tacomas and two 3rd generation models - never had to do anything more than change the oil, and in one...
Does anyone know what the update actually changes? It would be great if Ford at least broadly distinguished between feature releases and security/stability improvements.
@RagnarKon is usually clued into these things
The new Wrangler has a locking fuel door. I rented one at Zion a few weeks ago and was pretty surprised by it.
Though to be fair, they're probably more concerned with Bronco owners pouring sugar in Jeep fuel tanks.
I'm sorry - he SHOT at you? He'd better be in prison for attempted murder.
Did you find out what happened to him?
Glad you got your Bronco rebuilt, and even dressed up in some nice new shoes. But Holy cow, it's good that you're alright
I've had this exact issue, although with a brand new battery, the AC off, and nothing plugged into the cigarette lighter / USB / AC ports. It happens for weeks at a time, and recently has been happening when I remove the doors, but didn't always.
Drives me mad, because I don't want to be...
Ford's entire suite of software products is a joke. This is not a company that understands modern information technology.
They don't even include release notes with vehicle software updates, which teenagers publishing to the App Store know to do.
