Terrible picture, so I apologize for that. I did mount my AudioControl ACM 4.300 on those curved brackets noted in your video. I affixed the amp to a scrap piece of acrylic with some velcro and glued some closed cell foam on the bottom to provide some cushion. I drilled two holes in the acrylic...
I just applied sound deadening to the rear cargo area. Although I don't think I've specifically heard any rattling in this area, there is a platform with three connectors on the drivers side that have the potential for rattles. I applied sound deadening behind the bracket where it can hit the...
I just installed these today on my stock Badlands. Caution for the shortys out there. I'm 5'10'' and I have to pull the hood down by the latch 'hoop'. I can't touch the hood itself from facing directly front w/o rolling forward on the front of my foot. It raises the hood quite a bit. Shorter...
The 2.7T certainly doesn't seem like much of an issue. The stock 3.6L N/A Pentastar engine in my jeep fills my catch can every oil change, and it has since it was new. Better in the waste oil container than sucked through the intake!
My 'sport / roll' bar or whatever we're calling it nowadays has around a dozen fish eyes between both sides. I would have the dealer try to fix them, but probably just make it worse.
I'm not reading all 36 pages... By far the most annoying feature for me is the small buttons to turn on the front overhead console lights. It seems like all my recent vehicles had the obvious feature where you press on the 'big clear light lense' to turn on the light. 5 months in and I still...
Non-squatch flexing. Factory Badlands on RTI ramp. Didn't do well compared to the Jeeps there, but I can cruise straight at 85mph with only a couple of fingers holding the wheel.
I'd like to see the real world drop in intake temps while driving and flow specs with this compared to stock. Ford's seem notorious for putting in small and inefficient intercoolers.
'Full engine replacement'. What do you think was found that would warrant the entire engine to be replaced, and not just parts of the engine, even if its the entire short block assembly?
Just to give a kinda apples and oranges comparison, here's my Badlands with the sway bar disconnected on an RTI ramp. It comes close to that fender flare on the factory 33 inch tires.
I replaced the rear 4 inch speakers with Mabett pods and Morel 6.5 inch coaxials on the base 6 speaker stereo with an AudioControl 4.300 amp. While it cleared up the highs, there are still little to no mid or low frequencies being passed through. Unless you plan on freeing up the frequencies via...
I disagree with the wheel and tire choice, but can't hate on the look. One thing I've never been able to understand is why in the hell would you put mud terrain tires on wheels that size, besides look? If you're never leaving the pavement, why pick a tire thats terrible on pavement?
I just installed these which replaced Morel Coax 6.5s that I had installed previously in the kicks and then moved to Mabett 6.5 pods out back. Very, very happy with them. I (and the wife...) thought it was a little bright up front with the Morel Ultra 402s in the dash and having a coax in the...
Just installed these with Morel 6.5 inch co-axials. I think these are a great value for what you get. I love that they have a 'stock speaker pod' look to them as opposed to some other offerings out there now. Covered the inside with Kilmat and added some acoustic polyfill. I have a four door...
I got my soft top last September and I am dealing with winter now. I really wanted the hard top, but didn't want to wait for it, which I guess it was a good call as my Grangtober 2020 res would for sure have been a 2024. Noise wise, its fine actually. Getting up around 85 and it gets to be a...
