Oh, Ford would never do that, would they? You mean like selling 1.5 million cars with a DCT transmission they already knew was problematic and defective before the first one was ever sold? And then telling their customers "It's supposed to act like that."? No Ford would never do that! ?
Use the US highways rather than interstates. You will get varied speed limits, go through small towns, and actually see the towns and countryside. If I go with Stephens, it is right on US 119, which crosses US 22 in PA about 35 miles from me. Should be a nice ride! :D (y)
Might be a deal-breaker for me. My rear seat passengers have to have some way to get some ventilation. Hell, even a minivan from the 80's had hinged rear windows with a latch at the bottom where you could open it a couple inches outward. ? (n) ?
$4500 seems a bit steep for wheels, tires and a 2" lift. On the Interactive Garage website, I outfitted a base Bronco with wheels, BFG 33's, upgrade bumper with brush bar, and rock rails, and it came to $3240. Makes the Sasquatch package look like a bargain, given the upgraded axles/lockers, and...
Those are DCT (dual clutch transmissions), not a conventional torque converter automatic. That transmission has cost Ford a fortune in lawsuits and warranty claims. I'm so glad my '14 Focus is a 5MT!
I've owned too many to even remember them all, and some were quite forgettable. Here are some of the more interesting ones, in chronological order from 1976-2020 (to the best of recollection). All manual transmission, unless marked with an asterisk.

A vehicle that is 6'7" wide isn't a full-size vehicle??? And I'd much rather have a lift gate (an extra 20" of leg space for sleeping) with a separate swing out spare carrier
Agreed! I do NOT like how the rear seats fold down. Even in my Focus hatchback, the seat bottoms fold up against the fronts, and the rear seatbacks fold down giving a flat floor. This is really disappointing. (n)(n)(n)
If you stuck to the interstates, you probably didn't really hit any steep grades. When you got back to the Burgh, you should have tried it on some of those steep streets on the South Side before you turned it in. ?
