I'm literally watching my neighbor (45ish mother of two) holding a Starbucks and loading the kids up for Satuday socker (SI).... in her 4runner. Fully loaded and capable truck that will never leave the pavement, never get dirty, but instead carry home and endless supply of self-esteem trophies...
Definitely was on the fence.... so much that after my disappointing B&P experience this morning, i wandered over to Toyota and configured a 4Runner. Came out about $10k less than a comprable Badlands... Then, I came to my senses... 4Runners are for soccer moms and so ubiquitous that there is...
Badlands 4 dr sasq, lux, tow, 2.7l and a couple add-on features.
$57.5k USD + estimated $4k taxes.
Est. $61.5k drive away price assuming my local dealer doesn't be douche.
Rubber floor (badlands) vs carpet (Wildtrack). I want the washout floors but I think to keep it from looking "unfinished" you have to add the rubber floor mats, an add-on. They look pretty nice with a big Bronco logo on them.
Also, Badlands has the marine grade vinyl. I've seen it and like it...
UAT - User Acceptance Testing is a fundamental and vital step in development and code push... They apparently skipped it.... or at least, pushed without fixing the issues identified in UAT.
Its almost become acceptable to push code with known bugs these days and let the consumer do the UAT...
Let's hope. I find the B&P a bit frustrating... and looking at the volumes of posts coming in this morning... I'm not alone... At this rate Ford should be able to fill the 2021 orders with ease...as many might just bail out.... (SI)
The wait for 2022 might become a reality....
This is a show stopper for me. I'm not getting a ford focus engine (2.3l) in a 5,000 pound SUV that doesn't have the capacity to hold roof rails. Apparently, adding roof rails deletes the Sasq. package and other options.
Love it. Awesome build but....
my first thought is that soon, every Forest Ranger, Game Warden, Texas Ranger, rural sheriff, border patrol, et al will exchange their white Explorers for Broncos....
Nothing wrong with that... but, I don't really wanna look like a LEO.... Just eliminated White as...
Pros:
Gets you off the ground and you're not an easy target for bears, et al. Also looks cool.
A big advantage is: Your mattress, sleep bag, and pillow are already in it. No inflating or stuff bagging... (most models anyway)
Hardshell RTT setup in like 4 seconds...
Cons:
If you're old, a...
Florida, South Dakota, Tennessee and anywhere else that doesn't have these stupid mask mandates and lockdowns! These 3 states specifically because that's where I found the most individual freedoms in the past. Thus, I'll continue to visit them and the Bronco will be my vehicle of choice to seek...
To the OP, keep the faith. The Bronco will be a one of a kind. The only other option in the same abilities and pricing schema is the Wrangler and they are ubiquitous.
I had similar concerns and kinda expected the XPlan rug would be pulled from beneath our feet... as it did... The Bronco is in...
Following... i'm reserved at a Chattanooga big volume dealer and an Alabama dealer. However, the Alabama dealer has horrible ratings at dealerrater.com. So, I'll likely change that one to Cleveland Ford. (Where I've done business before) However, my concern is that Ford dealer seems is on the...
From a Devops standpoint, its a push that has the potential to overwhelm the hosts. aka: crash the Price & Build systems. I doubt Ford techs would release that going into a weekend (oct 23 is a Friday). Most big pushes are released on a Tuesday, not on a Friday going into a weekend.
Asked my children (born after OJ murders) if they were aware of the new 2021 Bronco. Both said "yes". Then asked what does a "white bronco" represent or bring to mind... both said OJ murders.
So, i just cant do it...
Plus, the TVA, USFS, and some Sheriff departments will likely start using...
I think they (FORD) are trying to avoid a repeat of the 11th gen Ford Thunderbird... Lots of hype and attention and excitement from the public on the remake of a true classic. High performance Jaguar engine in a retro package selling to an aging demographic. (See the buyer age survey...) But...
Carealess is the accepted term these days. But its slang....Then again, you just used a possession mark in the word "it"....while trying to police an internet forum....Yes. you are that guy...
Back to our normal viewing.....
Bronco sport???? Unibody on an Escape platform.... No need to speculate on that vehicle. The Escape already has a history.... I would get a Suzuki Jiimny and pocket the $20k savings if that were the case.... Its a joke folks....
Again, Im in for the 4 door. Just wanted to hear opinions I like...
Nah, When I get the new Bronco.... it will be the Honeymoon. Reading about the release was a high... But, its subsided and now the pragmatist is taking an objective assessment... and really looking for feedback.
Maybe someone out there has seen a modern MTB insde the 4 door... with the wheels...
Bronco is wider. Turning radius is important as it makes close maneuvering easier. But, typically its a feature that is engineered and not as much dependent on the size of the vehicle. i.e. The Toyota FJ is smaller, yet has a horrible turning radius. U-Turns suck in that vehicle.
I honestly...
Its a question, not a statement. What's your answer?
BTW, I was a jeep owner when the first 4 door jeep came out. It was not well received by the owners groups that demanded things like All jeeps having only round headlights and only 7 slats in the Jeep grill. There was some push-back on the 4...
