I hear ya and I agree. I should e been more clear. I think they nailed it (mostly) from a design perspective. I meant that I wish Ford would start playing up the nostalgia angle a little more from a marketing perspective.
If I drop $60k+ on a vehicle I'd better not have to go buy seat covers to hide scorching seats. Ridiculous. I think Ford will offer seat options so I'm not too worried about it. When I look at the reservations spreadsheet on the site a massive percentage come from Texas. It gets a little hot...
What you may be missing (and maybe to a degree Ford may be missing) is that some of us older customers are buying the Bronco because of the nostalgia it brings us from trucks of our childhood. I get that this thing is a serious off road vehicle and I love that. But to some of us it's also a nod...
Some good... some not so good in there. I appreciate the info from this forum. Such a great place. Also glad to see my Gunner Kennel should fit in the back of the two door without having to fold the rear seats down!
After seeing some of the accessory reveals this morning I just wanted to remind the folks negotiating the deal to make sure it includes accessories. I'm sure you'd already thought of that but I figured I'd put it out there anyway.
I'm with you on the white top. I'm wondering if the metallic grill will really clash with the white top. I've seen a few renderings that look pretty good to me. Frustrating all we have is CGI renderings to look at when trying to decide.
I hear ya. But as I said, I’m not upset at any engineers (you must be an engineer b/c you’re a little you just on the subject). I’m not upset at anyone. I just don’t have confidence in Ford to knock it out of the park. Look, I’m a middle aged guy. I’ve been waiting for this truck to come out...
Fair enough. But I don't give a shit if it's engineering, design, finance, or product management that's making the head scratcher decisions. They're all part of Ford and my confIdence in Ford is lacking. Is that wording acceptable for ya?
Nobody suggested they should. Many of us are going to spend $55k+ on the Bronco. That's hardly giving it away. But while Ford's design is exceptional, their engineering decisions such as those that I mentioned above are a big disappointment. If they do nickel and dime us to death with...
I share the hope that Ford won't nickel and dime us to death. I also agree that Ford badly needs a win with the Bronco. However, I'm not as optimistic that they'll make the necessary tweaks to get this right. Not having things like removable back seats, a manual 2.7L , or white tops that...
Great thread guys. Really appreciate the industry pro's analysis. The towing capacity and non-removable back seats are really head scratchers (especially the latter). Wish they could course correct now but I'm sure they can't. Really is frustrating for those who don't want to wait any longer...
