Success!! I just had the strangest call with the Ford center…guy couldn’t find my order, couldn’t see any notes on my transfer request…went quiet many times - then relayed that my order was with my requested new dealer. I called them and confirmed. So it seems to have worked!!

Unfortunately, I don’t know what we can do at this point to press Ford on the topic. I asked @Zach@Granger if he’d seen any transfers, but heard nothing. So I don’t know if Ford has approved anything. Either we’re being ignored, or maybe there’s something being worked that will be rolled...

Porsche does this in the Stuttgart factory and they have dealers. You go pick it up, drive around Europe, then they ship it to your dealer. I assume Ford doesn’t see enough interest in buyers flying to Michigan. I might though. Why not road trip back?

Great report. I hit Off Rodeo there this weekend, Sunday. Doesn’t look like they have 2 drs, but at least manuals.

Consistent with mine last week. No new news for me, but I’ll give it another week. I suspect they’re overwhelmed.

My speculation is Ford doesn’t want to move an order if the original dealer doesn’t agree. It’s technically their order, so there are probably even legal ramifications. Zach is a class act, as always, so moving away from Granger won’t be an issue. Other situations, YMMV.

You could take my approach. Order the 7 speed manual. They won’t mess with you because they don’t want it! 🤣
