Thanks a lot!
I do have a set from SGS for my current full range BLAMs, they do look very nice and professional. I emailed them to see if they would do something custom for a 4 inch speaker.
I’ll reach out to Jim at MTI on Monday and see if the could do something custom as well.
Once you tune it you will be impressed with the results. It took me couple of months of learning how to tune a car audio by trial and error but man, what a difference it makes.
Im in the process of adding sound deadening on a factory hardtop with OEM carpet. It is not bad to take it down as long as you have a heat gun. Also, I have the second version of the mic top that supposedly has a much better sound deadening installation than the first version.
That is the B&O amp. The mObridge will replace it and use the exiting connections plus lines up front to the ACM unit for pods and center speaker.
The tuning is a bit of a learning curve if it is the first time you do it. But once it is tuned properly you will really like it.
There is a very neat option to replace the B&O unit, mObridge. It has a an integrated DSP, I installed mine over the summer, it keeps the OEM look and it sounds great when tuned properly.

I’m using a mObridge amp with integrated DSP. It connects seamlessly to a B&O Ford system and replacing the OEM amp. This particular variant has been a Bronco kit with all cables and such.
Injecting mono pink noise through the OEM system, not into the DSP directly.
What RTA software did you use? I was looking at that mic initially but I did not know if REW will see it. Did you connect it to a laptop or mobile device?
I am using an Audiofrog target curve, the struggle I have is that everything sounds way too flat. I am running pink noise and measure everything with REW and the miniDSP UMK calibrated microphone but it does seem that the reflections are playing a huge role. I will try using an array of...
I agree, garage tuning is not always showing the results on the road. I’m m still learning and my setup is not that complex as the Audio Control or other big names DSPs. I’m getting there :)
