Same boat. I am a day 1 (july 13 2020) holder. Converted to a raptor when we could, wasn’t schedule and now converted again for a 2023 but dealer says it probably won’t be price protected (but to be confirmed) and I have to eat 7K increase just because of Ford despite I am a day 1 res holder…...
Crazy that ford BP says you get rear steel and you pay for it, then you get your Bronco delivered and it’s plastic. I compared the 2 having a Badlands myself and it’s night and day.
I really wish I could swipe my Badlands with a Wildtrack HOSS 3.0 or better yet add 3.0 on my BL.
The earlier...
I agree. Never was an issue for me in years of using it.
I understand people don’t like it but it saves gas as proven many times, and I believe there is no need to reject extra smoke and emission in this world when stationary or not needed, so I leave it on.
To say that this feature is...
please report after the big rain storm. I’ll do same.
And thanks OP for the amazing write up.
People saying noise is a non issue on the Bronco have no idea lol.
Also, people saying if you don’t like noise then buy a bmw. Hell no lol, it’s not because I need offroad capability that I want a...
I agree and do the same with mine, but again, the point of my post is the fact the stock suspensions hold up better to those jumps (and this was interesting to point out in my opinion.
I would have expected the stock ones to break down quickly, and aftermarket with much larger diameter / oil...
Not my Bronco, not my video.
This guy jumped his stock Bronco pretty hard in earlier videos. Now in this one he installed Icon coilovers and compares them to HOSS 2.0 with his friend's FE.
Bottom line is the ICON is more controlled and hits the bump stops less than the HOSS 2.0 (expected).
BUT...
I really wish there was Adaptive Cruise Control with lane centering and stop and go. It's offered on most Ford cars and it's miles better than the simple Adaptive on the Bronco.
It stays engaged and will put the Bronco to a full stop if needed during a traffic jam and then will re start, so you...
yes I did add an update to the original post. In short, product works really well. I like the adjustability in height, it’s sturdy and does the job well. Customer service was so so
I own the Bronco fully loaded, and test drove the Defender.
The build quality and interior in the Defender is miles ahead of the Bronco, there is no comparison. However I got the Bronco because it’s more fun, more capable off road and less expensive and with less expensive maintenance.
Interesting. I got a RTT to use on my Bronco. I am about to sell it.
My findings:
- have to set it up the roof every weekend. No way I drive with it daily since it doesnt clear the garage and would be too much of a hassle (mpg, noise)
- once at camp you have to pack it and re set it everyday...
Would be cool if you could hit some bumps or curbs with both and report the difference in suspension.
love my Cactus Gray wouldn’t have any other color!
I ended up being super happy with those tires after 7K miles.
They do great on road with minimal noise and good performance, good on snow, good on rain and great offroad (I don't have muddy terrain here in Utah).
All of that considering it's by far the lowest weight for a 35" AT, sometimes...
I have driven both extensively and own a Badlands Lux with Sasquatch.
if Optioned the same they are very similar and the differences have been highlighted here. What people don’t mention much is the rear bumper, the plastic one is a joke, it’s flexible and looks toyish. The one on the badlands...
Same here. Still haven’t been able to read something from someone very knowledgeable about it. Is this thing going to risk damaging the steering rack?
You are probably the only one on the forum with a Badlands now getting to compare with HOSS 3.0.
Would you mind sharing a comparison of the ride on road and high speed offroad?
