Yup. I hear ya. I had twin Jerry’s on my old truck and get rear ended. Luckily my truck was tall and the car that hit me was low. It didn’t end well for the other car. (No gas was spilled)
Again still dreaming but maybe a custom receiver would be needed or beneficial to help with the leverage and torsional load.
But that would negate the swing out so this is crazy talk.
Yeah, I’d wager LRA is considering a tank for the 4D at best, the 2D is a stretch and the economy of scale is small.
We debated and all agreed that it was feasible that I had enough fuel to get out to the Doll House and back. However, given the remote exposure and accounting for the unknown...
Warrior Products makes this tray, so that’s an option. But it’s “deeper” front to back than I would like. And I’d have to raise it up more. Thanks!!
I had a CBI bushmaster rear bumper on my old Tacoma and I loved it. However so far I’ve not seen a rear bumper that I’m wild about. Plus I’d prefer to avoid the full time weight burden. Plus the Bronco is pretty narrow so three Jerry’s plus a 37 would likely block the taillights. Thanks for the...
Yup! I have the Turn HD tailgate reinforcement. I’ve considered this type of tray mounted above the tire. However 15 gallons is bloody heavy. Plus my 37’s. I should also say that I need to retain the ability to carry a spare/wheel mounted trash bag. Gotta pack out the wag bags.
Rear side accessory holds? Not sure what that is unless your thinking of the TrailRax roof rack with the side accessory supports that tuck under the hard top.
I’m thinking no RotoPax and no roof rack.
thanks for your comments!
About a year ago three of my buddies and I had an epic five day trip in the Canyonlands. We went to Panorama Point and then way out and spent two days at the Doll house. If you’re not familiar with the Doll house look it up, it’s one of the most remote regions in the lower 48.
In prep for that...
I know the camping chair market well. If a “thin” packed size is your goal I’d look at these two. Not my favorite chairs in terms of comfort, which is subjective, but worth a look given your parameters. Please double check the specs to make sure, don’t take my word for fitment...
I’ve been using two of your Clean Ice bags, one I freeze solid and the other filled with block ice. Great product. Using it as an air bladder to eat up space in the cooler is an interesting adaptation.
Also, I must say I have a Canyon Pro 45 quart cooler and it’s awesome. I use two straps &...
IMPO Ford is part of the problem. Given that the stud on the windshield surround has a torque spec of something like 6 foot pounds and the rear roof racks attachment points are poorly designed. I’d say the options for a 2D are slim. I had a rack a while back and sold it. If I went back the only...
How do they attach, can you please define the “plastic rivets” in more detail please?
I’ve been contemplating front flaps that I can modify by trimming and then connecting them to my sliders. Just to help close the gap between the fender flare and slider. Cheers.
Everyone develops their own habits, camping is no different. Here are two easy Bronco hacks that have worked well for me.
I wanted to improve the rear cargo area lighting in my 2Door. My focus was simple & inexpensive camp lighting while cooking on a tailgate table.
I had a few of these...
All depends on what you want, or definition of onboard as mentioned above.
I have an Air Down Gear up drawer system / rear seat delete.
