48 hours has passed since my railcar went "bad ordered" with no update and no ETA available. Based on other posts, it could clear anytime or be held another week. No way to know.
I hope that's correct but history is not on that theories' side. The "Dirt" mountains over the last two years were created based on similar parts failures, shortages or recalls. Those "mountains" were created by continuing to produce and ship compliant builds because they won't shut down the...
That stinks. Nothing else to say about that... I guess you'd prefer to have it shipped to the dealer to at least clear that hurdle until they can retrofit the part. Adding to the frustration, it looks like the part in question can be installed in less than 10 seconds per belt.
Something is broken or in an unsafe condition on the railcar. It has to be fixed before they can move it again. Hoping that because it’s in one of CSXs major hubs, it can be fixed quickly.
Tracker has stayed stuck on order confirmed for the last two days. Based on the rail car number my dealer gave me, it was in Ohio as of last night. Top notch communications and tech as usual for Ford.
That sucks. Is it showing up on the NHTSA site as having the recall?
Also, any chance they are overestimating the time before they get the parts to fix? How is that they had parts for builds post 5/10 but not for produced vehicles?
