Yeah I read this thread hoping someone found a hitch that actually bolted to the "real frame" instead of that weaker cross member.
Until that happens, there is no point in upgrading the hitch.
Buying a WildTrak just to get HOSS 3 is silly IMO.
You can add the 74 Weld passenger side housing for a crap ton less money.
The shocks are not that special and tons of people end up swapping them out anyway when they do a lift.
Heck, as much as I don't like the MGV, I'd even just buy high...
Yeah . That's exactly what I saw when I downloaded the installation manual as well.
Another member just posted that he got his everglade so I asked him to confirm as well as what part number for the sensor he has.
I'll have to wait and see what he says.
Oh so they finally got around to making these. I had some for my Jeep and love them, but gave up for the Bronco and bought some bags they go in front of the roll bars instead.
I've emailed them in the past and got a response. May just have to try again?
Congrats...
Out of curiosity, can you take a picture of where they wired up the negative for the winch to the battery? Specifically I'm curious as to where it is grounded vs the battery monitoring sensor.
Also what part number is your sensor?
Good idea.. I had downloaded the factory installation manual for the Ford winch and that is how they have it wired up. But I have not specifically asked on an Everglades.
I believe the one in red could be used but it is the same as the one in blue/yellow that were designed to be used.
That little fuse on the side makes it confusing but I BELIEVE that if you were to pull that fuse, you will find ALL those accessory posts still hot (which means the fuse is not for...
So 2 different things...
1) if the window roll up/down stops working, personally what I found was it was because of user error. The switches have 2 stopping points. If you choose to "hold" the switch you MUST stop at the first point.
My wife/kid kept pulling/pushing the switch all the way (to...
You want to talk bad...Carmigo takes the crown. Websites that don't work, fine print that can cost you money without even selling your car, and on top of that they falsely advertise how your "offer" works.
It's capitalism at its best..... The ones that have their crap together survive.
Oh and to add something interesting, it was mention in that RAM thread, that bypassing the Management system would allow things to ground themselves via the winch and could cause problems.
Hopefully Ford took the power draw of a winch into account when they designed the system for off road use...
Well if you are using a ground bolt, then I believe you are on the downstream side of the sensor just like I am... Albeit more obscure.
Every ground in the vehicle goes through the BMS unless you bypass it by going directly to the battery post clamp.
I didn't look at our specifically but typically these sensors are just a small current signal between 2 probes.
If that rain-ex fluid prevents or puts up too much resistance for the current to jump between probs, you'd get an error.
Unfortunately ford buries the tank way behind and under stuff...
Ford had rumoured this for the 2023 models but it didn't happen, so it has been in the works for a bit.
I thought buying a first year vehicle was problematic I can only imagine how bad big Blue will mess this up.. I'll pass.
Too bad they can't work with Mazda again..their infotainment was awesome.
When I wired the NEG side of my winch, I bolted it to the open hole on the Neg battery post on the "outside" of the battery management sensor.
I believe that is how the directions even state to do it IF you went with the factory Warn option.
But I got me thinking so while using my google-foo...
Like ^^ said, they have changed so many things with the build & price now. Honestly, I Don't know if I'd even order a Bronco anymore because I can't get it like I wanted it..for example, cloth seats and optional Built in Nav :)
When I installed my brake controller, there is a plug that goes into the end of the wire harness that you have to remove in order to plug the actual brake controller into.
This isn't a dust cover and I don't know what it does but it does remind me of somthing that may have some sort of wire...
