I don’t understand why gray or black top was even an option yet white isn’t standard???? Feels like Ford is working in opposite land on so many different aspects of this truck that reality is becoming stranger than fiction.
White should be standard across the board.
My SS sedan sounds amazing from factory. If you buy vehicles with crappy engines then yea the automakers are going to quiet them down so someone will buy them.
Area 51 is basically Hummers “Boulder Gray”
Five things I learned from this:
1: Cyber Orange has been crossed off my desired list - completely unattractive in this light - should be Mustard Yellow
2: The 4 doors just don’t work as well on the Bronco as it does on the Wrangler
3: The OBX...
I imagine your Silverado dude wasn’t airing down or had low profile tires? I see duallys out there regularly and they have no issues when properly aired down.
I’m not saying it’s impossible to go without lockers but the samurai also weighs much less than the Bronco.
I’ve also seen a 2WD truck with a locker outshine many 4wd vehicles with open diffs.
Both a locked 2wd truck and an open 4x4 have the same number of powered wheels. What’s the point in...
Oh so it’s not just a tube like on every other vehicle in existence? That’s a dumb move on Fords part when this could have been so easily integrated. Why they made that so unclean is seriously a head scratcher.
Maybe I’m asking a question with an obvious answer but why is it a concern if you get vents wet or even filled with water? The HVAC lines still have to go UP to get to the fan so the water wouldn’t cause any issues to begin with unless you purposely tried to fill the a/c vents by blocking off...
I mean if you take the mud terrains to a good tire place and add a little bit more siping to the tires you would probably be fine. I definitely wouldn’t let a small issue like tires ruin the idea of your desired trim level.
Granted if you live on the side of the mountain I may be less inclined...
Not ideal, I would go to a snow rated all-terrain if snow is a consistent issue.
Though I used to have Cooper Discoverer STT (previous gen) mud tires that were good enough in the snow.
You absolutely need at least a LS on the rear axle if your going to be doing off-roading, it is not hard to lose traction on one front and one rear wheel and with two open axles it’s going to be short journey to trouble.
As far as the front axle the Dana 30 is an iron axle and the M190 is a...
No auto 4wd means it was in 2wd mode up until the point traction was lost, at that point it would temporarily engage 4hi. It would bind when turning just like a normal 4hi would do.
No it’s not high tech at all, and neither is the system in the Bronco.
I wish FCA would explain why they think the market needs another fully independent suspension barely SUV. They’re lame when the lower end players do it and their lame when BMW/Mercedes/Porsche do it, a Jeep version isn’t going to be any better.
I feel like people misunderstood me, I’m not judging, do what you want. My point is simply that you have to ignore the stigma because no matter what you do you cannot sway the opinions of judgmental people that literally know nothing about you.
I have an H2 and a Harley among my vehicles, both...
I guess it’s different for everyone but I don’t see the point in buying a off-road vehicle and not off-roading it. Granted I see Wranglers with perfect paint and 20” rims all day so that’s not a common sentiment.
I had my H2 going through trails, trudging through deep mud and forwarding 48+...
Lot of people with zero knowledge or experience that seem to have a lot of hate for what they don’t know.
Both the H2&H3 were perfectly capable off-road vehicles that all went through AM Generals Humvee training grounds before final approval.
Gas mileage of the H2 was no worse than any other...
When you go to taller tires you need steeper gears to compensate. As long as you keep them in sync then the RPM will more or less be the same as a 3.73 geared truck with 31”s.
My H2 on 37s with 4.56 gearing and only 4 speeds cruises along at 80-90MPH without a hiccup.
