Yeah - that’s what I’m talking about, but there’s a way to make it go from the slim view to the expanded view on the gauge display like when in rock crawl as an example - you can do it in 4H. But I think you have to disable adaptive cruise, lane keeper… and maybe traction control? Or some...
I can’t say enough good things about the Apex air fittings, hoses and general ecosystem. I have their rapid connect valve stem tops on all 5 Sasquatch wheels with FP beadlock rings and you time the air down to specific pressures and write them on the sticker they provide, put it in a door jam...
There’s some combo of settings for normal they use at the Offroadeo where you get the larger offroad screen like when in a GOAT mode, something related to making sure cruise control and lane assist is off, maybe also have to be in 4A, I figured it out once but I can’t remember what it is.
Send a pic. There are definitely different springs options, and if you got 4d you’d be higher for sure. But you got preload adjustment to investigate as well. And it will settle after being on the lift for awhile and new springs — so it could be fine after a bit.
I have the 2.7 with injen intake, CVF charge pipes, CVF low mount intercooler (with this being my migration to the CVF high mount intercooler), turbosmart BOV, ported throttle body and intake manifold, CVF downpipes, and ford performance tune.
Oh the other note I had was removing the OEM upper intercooler bracket is more of a chore with extremely limited room (had to unmount radiator) to get at the bolt, and I’ve got the JKS Max Clearance kit.
As one might assume, the more tricked out you get, the more challenges you have following...
Trimming the shutters was easy and straightforward though I’d note my center “channel” just barely touches intercooler, but seems ok — would be tough to remove that section without going overboard I think.
and looking at the @fullspeed6g YouTube video, my other install differences would be the...
Part way done. I ended up with two driver side upper L-brackets, so I’ve reached out to CVF for a passenger side bracket since the brackets are mirrored one side to the other. So, pending figuring out couplers below, that’s my impediment to reassembly.
it’s a REAL tight fit with the inner ADD...
Well, tying the roll bars together reduces squeaks and rattles from the hard top parts shifting over bumps. Which is why I have the goatfab brace. This addresses that.
Then, because there’s no factory crossbar at the b-pillar except on raptors, there’s no overhead dome light in the middle...
Mine are the carbon fiber option. Does not look like cheap carbon sticker either. Just a nice matte finish that’s subtle and blends w my badlands interior. Also big fan of customer support: exceptional — looking forward to more parts!
Those are from @TrailRax also - they have the holes for rotopax mounts, and the dogbone holes I use for rings and stratch-it straps.
they are a bit heavy though they are aluminum.
In the front is the jcr offroad tent wind deflector to guide air and bugs up more since I have the bags and roam...
Appreciate the outreach - I don’t see anything functionally wrong and I still plan to try to install it. The intercooler looks very well designed, the hardware all makes sense and looks good as well.
My post above was not intended to be as negative as it reads in a second review - sorry about...
Well. It arrived on Saturday. I physically obtained it from the driver on the UPS truck and he and I were both dismayed at the condition of the box. Or what was left of it. Talk about a range of emotions.
Generally, it is in good condition, with a few scuffs at the lower front face of a...
