Not to burst your bubble, but these only keep honest people away. I know of several methods to take these off, and have removed these without the "key" before for friends and on my own vehicles.
Dumb question...your battery terminals are tight? I saw another thread where they weren't, and obviously that would put extra load on the alternator if it was disconnected/poorly connected.
I am thinking of doing something similar, but modifying the RC skidplate to fit the mod bumper, or have the fairlead 90° from the mount, trimming the factory skid plate, clearancing it, and rewelding it. Hopefully to get rid of the angle and offset from the winch.
That or fab up my own winch...
My put. Keep all your options including badlands with one exception. Change to MIC top and never look back. Don't settle on a 4 door. Day one reservation should put you close to the front. Tons of badlands and 2 doors are being built now, mine included.
