I'm considering a Defender. If the right one comes along. I cancelled my Bronco order last fall because Ford kept moving the goalposts and I figured I'd check back in 2-3 years down the road to see where they were then. Looking more and more like that's going to be a 4-5 year window for me now...
I see the MIC top looks as bad as ever. Oof. Glad I bailed out.
Looks like someone snagged the top off a different colored car from the junkyard, and haven’t painted it yet.
Back on thread target... I actually think this is a decent move by JLR. Land Rover is making plenty of money. Jaguar has nothing to lose here, and the UK has declared no new gasoline powered cars by 2030, so it's not like JLR is really going out on a limb here.
By all accounts, the Jaguar...
That looks like almost exactly what I was going to order before I canceled my reservation. And the MIC top in that photo is a great example of why I canceled my reservation, lol. I'm just going to wait a couple of years until I can get what I actually want.
Blistering acceleration. I’d say my Hellcat was overall faster but the F Type is effortlessly quick. I’m not constantly fighting for traction like I was in the Hellcat.
Accelerating from a stop is stupid fast in the F Type R.
I think they switched to AWD only on the R version in 2016. I think 2015 was he only model year you could ever get a rear while drive F Type R, meaning those are kind of unicorn cars. The 15 also has hydraulic steering and they changed to electric the next model year.
I actually wanted the AWD...
Pretty much the exact same scenario for me. Bronco as going to be a toy for me all along. I sold my 2016 Challenger Hellcat and was going to wait it out. But the retraction of X-plan pricing combined with no dealers in NC willing to commit to anything better than MSRP, combined with the supply...
Feeling much more confident about my choice to cancel my reservation, lol. Good luck to everyone and I hope you get exactly what you want, even if you have to wait a bit longer!
I backed out. Decided to wait a few years and see what happens. Don’t love my options for the first model year and I got tired of Ford repeatedly taking more and more away. The lack of hard top options finally did it for me. That MIC top not matching the other black trim on the truck looks...
Good looking truck. I haven't actually pulled the trigger yet, nor canceled my Bronco reservation, but I'm about 99 percent sure I'm going to pick up a used Jaguar F Type R instead. I'll just build out my Grand Cherokee into more of an off roader. It will be all I'll ever need.
I still love the...
OK, so I am truly on the brink with the Bronco at this point. Between the loss of x-plan, the allocation change, the communication woes, etc. It seriously might be the gray top sitting on top of mismatched black trim pieces that is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I literally hate...
Yeah no picture, including the ones originally posted in this thread, show it matching. Even these clearly shows the B-pillar as black while the top is dark gray.
Again, I don't mind the gray. I just hate the mismatch. That looks terrible.
Exactly my issue too. I don't really care that the top is gray. I think that looks fine, especially with certain colors. But the fact that every single picture we've seen shows that the top doesn't match the other trim pieces it actually touches looks atrocious. Looks like the cars you see...
Just made the switch over to Stephen's today! @StephensAutoCenter I'm looking forward to working with you and once everything is square in the system in a few days we can work out getting you the 100 dollar deposit on your side. Talk soon!
Feeling the same way. I have 5 wheels for our Grand Cherokee sitting in our shed out back. Might be time to just go back to my original plan of turning our paid off Grand Cherokee into more of an overlanding rig and revisiting the Bronco in a few years when you can get one that's a couple of...
OK they should have picked a different screen grab. However, there is a tweet from Levine saying X-plan was available and he could help the twitter user asking about it to set it up.
If you don't think Ford's decision was based on feedback from big dealers, well...
I can almost assure you this involved dealers bitching about short term profits and allocations of Broncos. (i.e. "These deals that Granger and Stephen's are running are taking away our allocations Ford. You...
