The manual transmission for the 2.3 is designed by a German company who is now owned by a Canadian company. It does not make sense for fords to offer a manual transmission for the 2.7 unless they offered it on other vehicles without a crawl gear.
How long do you think the Americans will take till they finally realize they're in the Canada section...
I hope this goes to show that dealers don't / won't communicate until they have all the correct information.

Ford Canada corporate will not get this information from HQ (USA) until its basically almost public information, so don't expect your dealer to have any...

I agree with this guy, don't really know why any one is sweating it at all. US Dealers will get more information sooner. It will eventually trickle to Ford Canada (Head office.) then to Canadian dealers.

Currently have a Black Diamond reserved but may go badlands depending on the cost of options and how badly I would wanted the electric disconnect.
We have a lot more consumer protection laws compared to the states. I wouldn't expect to see a lot of dealers doing mark-ups on brand new vehicles from the factory.
