I think that is the point. If your use case is pavement, get a non-SAS OBX that includes painted flairs, and you don't need SAS. If you plan on non-pavement, the painted flairs will quickly get beat up. Or you would need 2 sets to swap back and forth.

I would never do this unless my Bronco was strictly a pavement princess and even then I'm not sure. I have a number of rock chips in the rear flares already without much mileage on the vehicle. Those chips would be much more noticeable if the flairs were painted.

I got a bigger amount than I was expecting. I did not ask for an explanation. Colorado does not deduct manufacturer rebates from the amount that is taxed. Seems like a scam, but it is written into law. As a result, getting the refund before or after didn't make any difference as far as taxes go.
