I believe FORScan tricks the computer into thinking that you are actively giving steering input which prevents the ASS from engaging. I’m sure it’s fine, but I don’t want the computer thinking I’m doing something that I’m not. The ASE simply remembers the last state ASS was in and “presses”...

Simply that ASE remembers your previous setting and essentially depresses the ASS button for you. FORScan tricks the Bronco into thinking that you are providing an input, I believe steering, that you are not. I use FORScan for plenty of things, but not to disable ASS.

Just buy it. Works great with the 7MT.

Same thing happened to me. Requested it from my dealer, but they missed it when they put in the order. I also happen to have the Sunrider top and it adds so much noise, that the additional sound deadening on the rear clamshell would not have made much of a difference.
