I didn’t notice anything spring loaded. It was just four tabs that locked it into the bottom of the cover. When I “wiggled” it side to side, I broke two of the tabs. I’ll be more careful with the 2 arriving from Amazon today.
I chatted with the Cruthfield rep and they said the mounting holes don’t line up and it would be a custom install. I’m a plug n play guy with speakers. Not sure I’m skilled enough for a custom install.
Is this just Crutchfield being a pain. I have the following in my cart:
1 pair Hertz DCX 100.3 for the dash corners
1 pair Hertz DCX 165.3 for the rear pods
1 pair Hertz C165L for the front kicks
Crutchfield has the “This item is NOT recommended for your vehicle!” warning for all three...
I don’t know anything about what you said, but I agree that the 2025 system sounds pretty good to my 54-year old ears. I think 8-10 volume is plenty around town with the windows up. Top off and windows down and 20 was plenty for me.
I’ll admit I bought a product described for 2021-2024 2.7L engines. I assumed (I know, I know) it would work for the 2025 2.7L.
Dealer tried to install and told me they got a message back saying it was incompatible. Does this sound accurate? Does the 2025 software update have to be pushed...
My Bronco has been stuck in the railyard, 29 miles from my dealership since 4/4/2025! Hoping it gets on a truck and to the dealership this weeek. Really wish I could just go pick it up myself!
My Bronco was lost in the system yesterday. My dealer updated it today and it shows the Bronco has arrived in Houston! Should be able to take delivery next week!
So, my Bronco left Michigan on CSX, but appears to have been switched to Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad Company in Gibson, IN. Is that normal or is it still on a CSX train and just at a switchyard in Indiana?
