Installed the B and C braces tonight. Here are my notes:
First of all, the kit was missing the J clips for the C brace. Thankfully, O'Reilly's down the street had Dorman exact replacements.
Second, on the B brace, I would recommend NOT installing the outer plastic trim pieces until you...
Thank you for the reply. I hadn't seen the JCR options - I only see this one which says it only weighs 11 lbs, which is really nice. Is this what you have?
JcrOffroad: Bronco Tailgate Table
Does anyone know how much it weighs? Maybe I missed it but I didn't see a weight listed. It also looks a lot easier to install than the pretty heavy Mabett one I installed the other day (exactly how many different sized nuts, bolts, washers, brackets, clasps, etc can you fit into one product??).
Installed mine this morning. A couple of the holes on the hinges needed tapping so I am glad you guys alerted me to that issue. Not a tough install at all and resting the tailgate on the spare tire worked perfectly. Did 1 hinge at a time as suggested. It's a nice product overall.
You could fly to Texas, spend a few days getting home staying in expensive hotels, and still save many thousands of dollars. The offer you mentioned doesn't sound like much of a deal at all. You can buy brand new 2025s with bigger discounts.
I will say that the prior generation tires did not seem nearly as beat up on the trucks at the school. I didn't check mileage on them but they probably had more miles since they were older trucks. And they didn't really have us doing anything too treacherous on sharp rocks or anything...
I did Moab Offroadeo last week and my Bronco was a 2025 Desert Tan with only 600 miles and the tires had several chunks missing just like yours. Not a good sign for people who offroad them.
Bigger immediate problem is the CEL causes the engine to go into a limp mode, which isn't fun when it happens on the freeway in the middle of traffic and suddenly your top speed gets cut to sub 30mph. Ask me how I know.
I definitely can't get it to trigger the CEL any more so hopefully the problem is gone. But I wonder why replacing a sensor fixes something that a reflash also apparently fixes? A hardware problem vs a software issue causing the same CELs seems incongruous in my simple mind.
Hey I was one of those guys with this issue with less than 100 miles on the odo! The dealership replaced the cylinder head temp sensor and the issue hasn't come back (I now have just over 2k miles on the truck).
Should I now take it back for this TSB reprogramming, too?
Same issue here on my 2024 WT. I was thinking I had forgotten how to drive or something!
As mentioned above - what a weird issue to have on a modern car from one of the biggest manufacturers in the world.
