This might not be answering your question, but The Road Chose Me author Dan Grec has a YouTube channel about overlanding and making choices about overlanding builds. He has personally circumnavigated Africa in a Jeep he has shipped to multiple countries. He has a no BS way of talking about...
I'm hoping Ford learned from the Ranger that we are ready to chop the crash bars. Would love if I could take a bolt out and stash the crash bars on the trails and put em back on for highway driving.
Hi all,
Also made it to the expo today. I asked about the crash bars and rep said they are not representative of final production. Then I asked about the bolts and open tubing in the area of the crash bars (possibly a part of the crash bar assembly). The rep said Ford is testing mounting...
Hard to say, but if the Badsquatch 2.7 w/ lux gets me to 6250 gvwr, well guess what, I'm working for uber eats for half my miles before I pursue a second career in overland photography.

I think some people might be hard up for cash right now, if all they can do is scrape up crappy financing for a base on steelies with no options, well that sounds like a badass bronco owner to me. Come to the southwest and I'll get you a beer!
I hope the reduced logistic costs of shipping to one dealer is incentive for Ford to push bulk orders early ? I'll be crying if my neighbor gets their Bronco first, but will happily travel over 1,000 miles to avoid ADM at Granger. If I have to wait months for this, it just means I'm buying...
I am concerned about carbon buildup too, but I'm hoping it's mitigated. Not sure how accurate this is, but the Ranger 2.3 might have a separator assy built in. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/oil-separator-vs-catch-can.8714/#post-158698
Still, people have posted pictures of oil pooling...
13 yr Air National Guard radar guy. Prior active. Shooting for a manual, 2dr Badlands (Madlands). I hope they have a military/veteran Bronco event (that all can attend). Hoping to infuse some patriotism in my Bronco the way the Jeep did with the Oscar Mike package.
