Loving the Spartan helmet! My wife and I have done a couple of those events, a lot of fun, and it was nice to prove to myself that I was capable of more than I realized!
not challenging your point, but I am legitimately curious - how can you tell that the bend happened separately from the break? What if it bent until it couldn't bend any more, and then snapped (all in the same incident)?
man, this stinks - so sorry. While I'm glad it happened in the comfort of your own driveway, and not on the highway, school zone, or out in the boonies off-roading, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence that these tie rods can't handle something as simple as a turn in a driveway without...
the disqualifier of Wildtrack for me, was the terrible digital camouflage interior. I'm not some yahoo pretending to be some tactical military bro ... I don't want camo on my seats. I went with the Badlands Sasquatch
it's just me and my wife... she will NEVER abuse a vehicle as hard as I do, so if she wants to drive it for some reason, she can.. it'd be unlikely that she'd want to - she has Lupus, and needs to be very careful about sunlight exposure, so she will likely be happy driving her Infiniti Q60 with...
I hardly ever hang onto a car for more than 5 years. Once the warranty has expired and things start breaking - that seems to be about the time it's best for me to cut my losses. not to mention, I get bored with it after that long and start wanting something new. I've had one car that was...
same camera I use - normally the 24-70 f/2.8 G is my go-to, but I also have a 70-200 f/2.8G that I use for track photos.
And, I'd love to link up to shoot, but I'm all the way over in CA LOL ... you have an instagram I can follow? *EDIT - just saw your sig, duh! :)
just have to compliment you on your photos - there was obvious attention paid to composition, lighting and timing when these photos were taken - as a photographer, I appreciate that. Nic work!
I had to go google "clevises" to see what you meant - I've seen everyone else refer to them as 'tow hooks' - you might have better luck searching for that - but here's a thread I found that might help you https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/standard-front-bumper-mods-and-accessories.23861/
One of the reasons I can't wait to get my Bronco and get rid of my '21 ZR2 Bison, is the seats in the Bison are way too firm - very uncomfortable for long rides, but both test drives I've done in 2 different Broncos blew me away with how comfortable the seats are. I'm not a small dude either...
Great story - love hearing how excited the kids were - that's going to result in some great memories for them as they grow up :) sounds like the Bronco was a great road trip vehicle - and as others have mentioned, having 5 people plus 300 lbs of gear inside it and still getting that kind of MPG...
I am not usually a fan of these YouTubers - but I do appreciate the lack of forced drama like the pickens family (and some others) always has .. I like the feedback and insight he shares - and while the drive was pretty tame - it's the kind of drive I enjoy most - something relatively mellow...
holy cow - that is perfect. my badsquatch should be getting built this week (also VB), and I've been thinking about getting an OBX grille for it, and your pics seal the deal for me .. that glossy black grille looks fantastic, and I prefer the style of the OBX better than the Badlands grille...
