I love driving manuals, but for daily drivers I prefer the set it and forget it nature of an auto. I've driven a lot of miles in both. Auto is just what I prefer. That said, rowing the gears up to 140 is so visceral and raw, connected to the power... auto's can't give you that same experience...
Considering that's a vast majority of the miles I'll be putting on mine, I take offense to that. So don't mind me and my 10sp auto cruising through the wal mart parking lot.:LOL:

Different sources similar in numbers, updates vary I'm sure. Either way, the data is insufficient for a conclusive forecast of the total loss risk. it is being blown out of proportion yes, but precautions...
How many variants are planned for the first model year. Engine and transmission line up. Availability of higher end drive lines on base models(ripe for mods) and when can it be in my garage.
I'm sure there will be rock slider/steps, and auto steps available. Thats a ways up for my hip to handle, long story, but my right hip is a little janky.
All I can say, is if ford decided to do this, it would be amazing. maybe if this gen cant do it, the refresh in 4 years could. I cant imagine it wouldn't be terribly difficult to implement it. that said, I'm sure the aftermarket will offer such a thing in a hurry.
Same here. I love the v8, but theres absolutely no way I could disregard the ecoboost motors. Very impressive engine's for sure. I recently drove a 2.7 f150 crew cab 4x4. I was shocked at how responsive, and how quick it was for such a small displacement.
I keep looking at it. it would be awesome. have a panel the folds up from the floor to close the gap. a small bed for keeping stuff you may not want IN your rig, like deer carcass etc.
I did say this is a theory, nothing official from ford. But, ford, if it doesn't do this, and you want it to, I will take one bronco 4dr fully loaded as payment for the idea. K thanks!
I gotta know, I've had a theory that the rear window section will fit directly behind the rear doors. With the removal of the rear section of the roll cage, making it essentially like the old half cab. these are the things that keep me up at night...
**edit, quick and dirty pic of what I'm saying*
I know, but its gotten a lot further than just us nerds on a little forum. literally millions have now seen it. even my mother in law. She doesn't give a hoot about the automotive world, has seen it online.
Also, I can hear it now, every GM guy for 100 miles saying "look, they put grab handles by the hood so its easy to get on up there and fix it HUR HUR HUR!" I don't care for those much either. The rest of it has me trying to figure out financing a year earlier than planned.
