Midwest Badlands owner with MGV. I do not find them uncomfortably hot. Peak temp this summer has been 93ish so not nearly as warm where you are at. I would say they are comparable to leather. When the top is open and the sun is shining they get hot, not going to get around that unless you do...
I have this same issue, in addition to paint chipping noted by the OP and wear on the soft top. The Ford rep here did reach out to me and I am scheduling a dealer visit.
Highly unlikely a new supplier will be ready in a couple months unless they were kicked off 18 months ago. I have only heard things second hand but it seems like webasto and Ford both share blame in this MIC top issue.
Hmmm.... All very interesting. I am sitting here as one of the lucky ones with my Bronco.
But on the flip side I am wondering what could be wrong or go wrong if they are looking at drastic solutions like stopping stamping. As others have said they should be able to make let's say 20% of the...
Getting in the car today I noticed wear on the softop. It is bad enough that the driver side has rubbed through the top down to the rubber below
It appears as though the top is rubbing on itself, or something when it is all the way down. I say that because when I put it back it didn't appear...
Didn't read everything but,. I have the same issue on mine as well. Will check back here for the fix. Hopefully not any issues getting dealers to address this.
I put mine behind the front seats or in the garage. I think I will make a bag just to hold them out of the way in the trunk and provide a little protection.
Update as of July 19. I left the plugs out and all items including the jack out until yesterday afternoon, so 3-4 days airing out. I have not seen any moisture in the storage area over the last day.
It rained during the days I had the bins empty and I checked and didn't see any water or...
Super jealous of everyone on here. I already knew it but Michigan rates are some of the highest in the country.
I did end up saving $100 a year when I dropped my 2018 VW GTI and added the Bronco. No change in coverage.
I own a car for about 2 years before I get bored and move on. We will see with the bronco, might hang around longer.
In general I go with life is to short to drive the same car for very long. Though I did take up motorcycles in the last 2 years so maybe that will scratch my car itch for a bit.
Oh snap, I forgot about that debacle. I was built right around then too. Just so people aren't confused that was Chrysler flooding not MAP. I think MAP only had a couple inches of water.
I checked the storage compartment yesterday and nothing inside and it rained, so thinking probably not a...
Hmmm... You guys got me thinking to maybe just keep it out for a couple days. Think I will give that a shot.
Also going to crawl under the car tomorrow to see if there is a heat source right under it. When I pulled the drain plug all I saw was an aluminum heat shield so guessing exhaust runs...
My last ditch effort to avoid going to the dealership was to take out everything, jack included and check for water. Nothing found. I am going to leave everything out for a couple of days and see if maybe something I had put in there had some moisture. Will also leave the storage area open as...
