You'll be fine without the locker for the useage you describe here.
You would not be using a locker for on road driving in the snow and ice. Lockers are used when in low range, on trails, going up steep climbs and over very rough and uneven terrain.
My wife and I seriously talked about doing van life for a while. It was partly fueled by my wife not loving the city we were living in at the time. This was pre-pandemic.
I was not on board with the idea. I'm happy to travel in a van (or Bronco) on vacation, but I did not want to call one...
I only have experience with the one set. They are the same style as the images shown in this thread for the Ranger and Raptor. Mine do have a nice rubber feel.
Absolutely, a $500 RC budget gives you your choice of a fantastic array of different vehicles.
When I came back to RCs as an adult, I tried a crawler, and a 50mph 4x4. My impressions:
Crawler Pros:
-Relatable experience, but at 1/10 scale. In a lot of ways, it's like the off roading I've...
I'm seeing a lot of concerns about price. Sure, if you use it as a display model, and only drive it around your residential yard, the price is not very reasonable. But, if you actually embrace the hobby, take it on cool trails, do a few modifications, and meet new friends, you can have a lot...
Moderators are going to be busy today combining threads on this new RC lol.
It's not cheap, but these hobby grade RCs are so much fun IMO.
Personally, I could not wait, so I got a Wrangler. lol
It's $50 more than the 1979, which is mechanically the same, aside from the fact that the 2021 gets you a functional spare tire, hidden body clips, and a metal servo horn.
Yup, looking at my "Inferno Orange" truck for 6+ years made me a lot happier than an extra $XXX on top of what I sold my 10 year old truck for would have. I'll never know if the buyer would have paid more, or less for my truck if it were a different colour anyway.
For optimum performance, it is very important that shocks be tuned for the usage case and weight of your vehicle build. Outside of those who compete / race their vehicle, very few will get their shocks re/valved or tuned to optimize performance. Thus, many will buy and install very high end...
I drive a very popular vehicle (GM 1500), so I was able to find a set of these Husky mats lightly used for a good price. I can't say I have any complaints with them. I do prefer the soft rubber feel over the stiffer WeatherTech mats, but I was happy with WeatherTech on my previous two purchases.
I live on a dirt road. If the road is wet, and you travel at any significant speed, the sides of your vehicle will get dirty, even with mud flaps and fender flares.
I'm just stating a fact based on my observation.
@dcmdon (and every other viewer) may have their own beliefs and opinions on what clothes are "suitable" for certain activities. I've learned that typing an emotional rant, or stating facts on an internet forum will almost never change...
