If the pocket depth difference is 1/2", couldn't you just trim the foot accordingly?

Thanks for the pictures. Do you have a picture showing from the end view of the bracket and tent clearance. Also, what brackets did you use? Did you use or think about using the JCR reinforcement bracket on the interior for the rear roof section?

So glad I found this thread! Exactly what I want to do with a Skycamp mini and OVS 270 awning. Also, What is the purpose of adding the extra plate on the rear of the bracket towards the back of the vehicle? Is there something needed to support the rotating hinge of the 270 awning?

I emailed @TrailRax and asked if they're racks were compatible with the Bronco OEM painted roof and they confirmed that it is compatible. So good news!

It seems like the roof brackets which are separate pieces, could simply be made with shorter legs to fit the painted top. From what I researched, the painted roof pockets are shallower than the standard MIC top.
