  1. The one thing my old Jeep has over my Bronco

When I was a teenager, in the late 70s, my dad, who was in the car business, had a VW Thing that he held onto for a couple of years. It had a convertible top, removable doors & plastic window ā€œcurtains,ā€ and a folding windshield. Despite my best efforts, the Thing was pretty much...
  2. How are you washing your Bronco?

After my beach trip, I took it to the local touch free wash, which sprays the underbody quite vigorously. I ran it through the underbody portion twice which did a great job of getting the sand off of it.
  3. Having a hard time making a decision

By ā€œBase,ā€ I meant the base package and not the Base model. Unless I’m mistaken, washout floors are only available on models that offer MGV. That limits you to the Black Diamond, Badlands or Everglades. Of course you can still opt for leather with washouts, although that seems a bit incongruous...
  4. Having a hard time making a decision

    1. 2 versus 4 door 2. Manual vs auto. 3. Sasquatch vs stock 4. Interior: cloth vs MGV vs leather 5. Base vs mid vs high vs luxe Answering those 5 questions will present you with a much shorter list of candidates. Then you can fine tune your wants versus your budget from there. I wanted 2 door...
  5. Review: Bronco Raptor vs. F-150 Raptor -- Desert-Crushing Dinos Go Head to Head

Are those baby swimming pool fender flares? Hilarious!!
  6. Off-Rodeo Failure: No Manual Broncos Available

Also, I have a 2 door stick and had to drive a 4 door auto at the Off Rodeo. It did not diminish my experience in the least.
  7. Off-Rodeo Failure: No Manual Broncos Available

I asked the same question at the Austin locale in March. Similar to what you heard, the instructor said they’d get people claiming they could drive a manual but were so inept that they burned out the clutches quickly. My dad was in the used car business for over 50 years until he passed away...
  8. 2023 Bronco Wish List...

    1. Analog tach 2. Vastly improved interior plastics. The current plastic panels are embarrassingly poor.
  9. Saw a 2 door Sasquatch in the wild !

This one’s mine. The pictures were taken yesterday.
  10. Padre Island National Seashore

On 6/20, I made the 120 mile round trip haul down to the Port Mansfield Channel and back. The drive starts at the entrance to Padre Island National Seashore and dead-ends at the channel that separates North & South Padre Island, which comprise the longest barrier island in the world. The...
  11. Regrets??

Mansquatch Badlands, base package, EG-no regrets. Using a clicker to open the door has taken a little getting used to though. Maybe I’ll miss heated seats in the winter, but summer in TX certainly doesn’t make me miss them now.
  12. Am I the only one that thinks Bronco would have competed the FJ Cruiser?

They have retained their value unbelievably well. A local dealer has a couple of ā€˜14 models, 4WD, he’s asking $41,500 for. As a ā€˜13 Land Cruiser owner I’m guessing my rig might bring mid 40’s retail and it originally cost more than twice as much as those FJs.
  13. Badlands Non Sasquatch vs Outerbanks With Sasquatch

I have a Badlands with just the base package. I like the marine grade vinyl a lot. I haven’t experienced the leather in a Bronco yet, but in general, I’m a big fan of leather. From a value standpoint, the Outerbanks seems like a better deal, since it is Sasquatch and leather equipped. If you...
  14. 2022 Wildtrak arrived today

Probably a pretty close race between it and the old C3 Vette it’s parked beside.
  15. My Bronco Died Today, Deep Into a Remote Trail [Fuel Pump Failure]

Don’t feel bad…the fuel pump went out on my Land Cruiser…after 140,000 miles! It did allow me to ā€œlimpā€ home though. But even the Land Cruiser died (thankfully, in my driveway), when the integrated relay assembly failed. That was the only time it’s had to be towed, occurring at 160,000 miles...
  16. Do you regret your color choice?

    Oops…I meant velocity blue!
  17. Do you regret your color choice?

After seriously contemplating cactus gray and Area 51, I feel lucky to have been pushed back to 2022 and opting for eruption green. Color is obviously subjective, but the only other one I’ve seen that rivals it it antimatter blue.
  18. FIXED: Headlights turning on when switched off

I have a Badlands and have experienced this gremlin on multiple occasions. I switch my headlamps to the off position before exiting the vehicle. If I re-open a door or the tailgate, without starting the vehicle, the switch reverts to auto. If I shut my door very hard at all after exiting the...
  19. Black 2 Door Down... [Last Update 08/15/22]

First words I taught my oldest kid. ā€œMinivans suck!ā€
