Hello! we have not had any customers try this, What we would recommend is pulling the U brackets off that are the individual light brackets and place them on our standard deflector before you drill holes, see if that fits, if it does great, otherwise it is possible for sure.

Great question! So our rack spans width of about 48". The aftermarket crossmembers you have from GFC should be about 54" wide, mount these to our 90 degree bend in the side panels for 2-3 cross members from GFC. This should span the weight across the rack properly. If you have anymore questions...
That gap from the 90 degree bend to the cross members is just under half an inch and is consistent across the entire rack. We have not considered it as it is unneeded material, money spent, and weight added onto your rack, walking across the rack is possible but please be aware of weight load...
Use their universal mounting kit for it and it should do just fine! The guys up there have done the install on our rack before so they should know how it should be done!
