That looks great, nice job. I've been thinking about going with 3 lights in front of the grill and I love the look of the LP6 and LP9 lights, but don't love how they show up on the front camera. This looks like it would solve that
Mine chimes about once every 2 weeks. It's always because my knee has accidentally hit the headlight knob when I got out and turned it from Auto On/Off to some other setting. I spin it back to Auto On/Off and everything's good.
It would be easy to do, using the 80/20 slots on the front or top of the cross bars, but I haven’t done out or seen it. I think a lot of the first round of lighting solutions are using plug and play brackets that go on the front roof accessory mounting points.
The IFS thing is funny -- it reminds me of Mustang owners demanding a solid rear axle, BMW owners insisting on normally aspirated engines, and Harley owners swearing by air cooled engines. All of them ignore the tradeoffs. They should just acknowledge that it's more about tradition, like round...
That's a legit perspective. I think the diff is that when you're driving around, a lot less people see your license plate for a much shorter time (on average). With a pic on a forum, you're more likely to run into scenarios where you've pissed somebody off arguing about the proper time for the...
Yeah there’s a lotta junk getting patented. Was this really such a novel idea? I think not.
The folks that make money here are the patent attorneys that wrote it up
Looks like their patent incentive program is going strong...

Wow, I'm impressed that the state of Utah helped you out! I filed a complaint with Idaho's consumer protection division when BMW failed to honor a warranty repair and Idaho just came back with "BMW said they didn't do anything wrong - case closed"
Yeah, some of those reviews drive me nuts. Oftentimes, it's somebody that took it home for the weekend and went through their standard car review checklist. Of course the best car for that checklist is a mid-sized sedan with the middle-of-the-road options package.
I read a Bronco review a few...
It seems like Ford OEM might be your best bet, if the US-built RTT racks are cost prohibitive. I haven't seen anything made in a, ahem, low-cost manufacturing locale. Yakima and Thule should eventually come out with something to hold their boxes, but not a RTT
Here are a couple close up photos of the back bracket. The front and rear back brackets look the same at first glance, but they are slightly different. Each has a piece of material on the underside of the upper and lower horizontal surfaces to prevent the metal rack from rubbing the MIC roof.
There are a few other Badass rack reviews here (one with full YouTube video), so I thought I'd add one more.
