I replaced my SAS tires with MT Baja Boss AT's at 1K miles and now at 3K I have no regrets. I air down to 20-22 psi on the trails and they are very comfortable over rough, scree covered trails and I have no more worries about weak sidewalls which was a major concern with the Territory tires...
As I mentioned, now that I have finished my build-up and going over my initial list, I’m looking back at the items I added and the reason for the additions.
Floor Mats – I like the OEM mats that came with my HE but they really did not provide the protection I needed when hunting. The Husky...
I have an off brand that came from the same factory and cut the plug and wired them to an aux switch. They give off way too much light IMO and the replacement rear dome light gives plenty of light for everyday use.
I finally got around to installing my GMRS Radio. I went with the MTX575, mounted under the console. Many thanks to shansen for the thread and help.
I have checked everything off my-to-do list and finished my build-up. I know I added a couple of items to my original list and wish to...
I'm glad I got my HE when I did. The Stroppe in intriguing but 2-door, which it should be. would not work for me (hauling 2-4 hunting dogs depending on the day) and since hunting season has opened, I have accumulated a great collection of Idaho pinstriping on my flares.
I am curious why they...
I too was expecting some trims to be discontinued, WT, HE, HEL and Everglades but I guess the HE will be there, HEL & WT combined into the Stroppe with new paint scheme and that is about it for the refresh.
Changed oil at 3080 mile. Second oil change since I picked the Bronco up in Feb. Was going to change dif and T-Case fluid but decided to wait until 5K on those as they, along with the oil was changed at 1K.
Additionally, finally installed my Midland 575 radio under the console. Will post...
I thought about what I needed for over a year went with the FieryRed 7/8" rope and Buba Soft Shackles. I refuse to rut my hunting trails and it pisses me off when other people do it so I don't go up if it has been raining/muddy I went with the 7/8" for pulling pickups out of a snow bank more...
I went with the MT Baja Boss AT's. Have almost 2K miles on them and have been down many a high-speed gravel road without any issues. When hunting in some pretty steep, rocky areas, I air down to 20-22 psi and crawl right up, no issues. I need a little more aggressive side biters and 3-peak...
I did mine at 1,000. Have almost 3,000 on it now but it has been a struggle to put the miles on it. I travel and rent cars every week so like my Escalade. I will never see more than 3-4,000 miles a year but again, like my Escalade, I will change oil twice a year, November and May.
