It gets damn cold, I managed to sleep through the night in a 0ËšF bag inside a pretty big tent that didn't seem to be all that affected by the wind. I'm planning on the same thing this year but will bring along a heated blanket and space heater to avoid having my water bottle freeze beside me...
Thank you for posting this @broncobase1. I tried the roll up and down Nintendo hack and am reluctant to trust my local dealer: I wouldn’t expect anything beyond what others have reported their dealers doing.
Like many here, it's difficult to really narrow it down. This is a good blend of showing some dirt, one of my few modifications (the Badlands is pretty badass in stock form), and highlighting an amazing place – the Mojave Trail in southern California.
I agree that some of the goat mode usefulness is negated by driving a manual transmission – the correct type of transmission. /s
That being said, I've noticed the difference in both steering and throttle response and the difference in both is rather useful off-road.
On a recent trip along the...
Thanks for the suggestion, my soft top has been squeaking like crazy for the first time and I think it’s because I went off-road with the rear windows out and picked up dust in the channels for windows. I tried to clean them out but bet this will do the trick.
@WheelMe that’s nice of you, I’m near the Sierra National Forest and often head up to Bald Mountain. But now that we’re coming into the snow season my options will dwindle a bit. I plan on getting some desert camping in during these months though.

That’s good to know, thank you.
I haven’t ever been to the Rubicon or any trails up that way really but wheeled a handful of times up on Bald Mountain outside Shaver Lake this past summer. I wonder if anyone has wheeled both and could draw some comparisons at all.
I fully understand the...
Looks like a great time and glad to hear the reports.
I'm down in down in Central California and would love to go up with you all sometime. I’m in a stock badlands and am accustomed to scraping basically everything under and including the rock rails.
I could benefit from having a winch though…
I suggest bringing your significant other particularly so if that partner is someone that likes to get information from “experts” in a given field.
Others’ advice is also good: layers, BYOC.
I went to Vegas only because there are many cheap flights and turos for rent. I don’t have any time for...
Oh gotcha, I more just wanted to ensure there were some pictures to help others that might be considering removing their doors. Doorless driving both on and off road is amazing, less so on freeways though 🧏‍
