I'm in the same situation. I'm hoping for a build date this thursday, but not optimistic. Actually I'm not optimistic about getting my Bronco this year with all of the crazy stuff going on in the world and supply issues seemingly getting worse.
I have a shot at a manual trans Big Bend for $45k...
I saw four this weekend...two of them were in the span of about 30 seconds in the same park. Haha one of them stopped to check out my parked Sport Badlands.
All of them had MIC tops.
I have to have the Bronco. I have two orders in the system and if I get the idea it may take more than a year, I'll watch the ADMs and wait for them to come down enough where paying over MSRP doesn't hurt as much. I'm not willing to pay $10k over, but I may ne willing to do $5k.
But I'm not...
Does anyone think that this new "get cars to customers with essential chips only" strategy will actually clear out Ice Mountain quickly? Are all of those vehicles drivable/sellable now or will a lot of them still be stuck there?
I look at clearing out that backlog as a necessary thing for...
Sure, I know that I'm not scheduled... what I'm asking is will this news make it more or less likely to get scheduled sooner. I think the answer may be "less likely".
To clarify /summarize what's going on with this thread topic as it pertains to my order, because it's a little confusing with all of the varying opinions....
does this mean if I HAVEN'T received a build date yet, is it more likely to happen sooner or later because of this news?
Gravity and momentum is your friend when it comes to gas mileage. Keep a light foot on the gas if you're on a stretch of road that's mostly downhill. Also, look up pulse and glide on Google.
This liberal agrees with you 100%. No one is going to have any power I'm this situation, as Ford holds all the cards. People want their Broncos... Ford has control of when those people get the Broncos, finished or unfinished. May as well take it or leave it.
I'll take it.
As someone who worked on engines a lot before cars became computerized, the first thought that popped into my head when seeing a car that shuts off the engine every time it stops was, "that's going to be murder on the starter. "
Now that I own a car that does that, I find it a little annoying...
So can we assume that allocation will be increased to accommodate the new in-flow of vehicles going to dealerships? What good will this be if dealership x is only allocated 4 broncos per month?
I think this is great news because:
1. I hate that there are people who made reservations or orders 2 years ago and still haven't received their vehicles yet.
2. As someone who ordered his Bronco in January 2022, seeing that mass of cars sitting in a lot makes me realize that I'll be getting...
My first car was a 72 ltd handed down from my dad. It had a 429 and sometimes I could see the gas guage moving when driving fast uphill. It was a tank.
Ok thanks for that info guys. I did get a confirmation email for both of my walk-in orders. I'll check with the dealerships to see if anything has happened with the process.
The Bronco is the first vehicle in 20 years that's made me say, "I have to get that car".
I got a Bronco sport because it was available...and it is nice. Badlands, fully loaded. But I am super excited to get my cyber orange BB Bronco, whenever it gets done.
I've been driving Nissans for a long...
Does what you said include the confirmation email? So you're saying that if I was walk-in order and got a build date, I would only know it if my dealer tells me?
