As mentioned in this thread, https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/oem-led-headlights-retrofit-installed-on-big-bend-bronco-w-o-led.28729/ there's a couple of guys who swapped in sig lights to their Big Bend. I decided to do it also, and I bought two used signature headlights from ebay, one...
So does that mean that a new control module is not needed for Big Bend? I have a pair or sig lights I bought, but one is missing the "control module". Will the Big Bend's factory module will do the job?
I have a two signature headlights I bought from eBay...one with module and one without. Once I find the correct module, will I be able to put these lights into my Big Bend?
Can someone explain where the "module" comes into play? I bought my replacement driver side signature (haven't found the passenger side yet). But as stated in the ad, it doesn't come with a "module". I ordered a module for about $160 bucks, but was that even necessary? Can someone clear this up?
And after removing the sides, the key thing to make sure of is that you're actually standing by the back corner you need to remove. I was in a hurry and tried to pull the right side while standing on the left. The plastic column in the corners of the back window piece need to be fully grasped by...
I fixed mine today with the "wire twist" method posted earlier in the thread. There's some careful drilling required and it's tough to thread the wire through the holes, but it works. Not ideal, but it's better than the alternative of having a piece of the soft top dangling.
Good luck finding the back window to buy. I put an order in last night at a large new auto parts dealer and I just got a cancellation email this morning because of a "national backorder".
I get 17.6 even with 34 inch tires. Drive with a light foot and remember to use gravity when the opportunity arises. Also, try "pulse and glide " driving technique. Google it.
Since I traded in my Maxima for a Bronco, I've totally adjusted my driving style from "bat out of hell" to...
When I first put my side windows back in, I thought there's no way I can reach this to the back piece. But there's a trick to it.
Flip the plastic channel on the side panel outward while standing alongside the car. Push the channel in only at the bottom first...pushing toward the back of the...
Just broke off two of those tabs today because I was in a hurry. It's very easy to NOT break those tabs if you just grab by the plastic housing and not the cloth. Be mindful any time you take that back piece off.
I'm hoping the market holds out until my cyber orange Big Bend is done, then I can trade in the silver one I bought a month ago. BTW, I would keep that Sasquatch.
After a month with my Big Bend, I've settled in to an average of 17.5 mpg (2H). That's with 33.8 inch tire upgrades..and I've been driving this car conservatively with a light foot.
My wife gets the same mileage in her Bronco Sport Badlands.
I'm going to assume this doesn't apply to dealer walk-in orders. I have no 8 digit code on my email order confirmation sheet from my dealer.
I already have a silver Bronco I bought off the lot, but I'd like to know when my cyber orange Bronco is in production.
I did the same thing. I paid about $5k over sticker... and normally I wouldn't, but I had a nice windfall from a CarMax sale of my Maxima that netted me about $10k in profit. I'm glad I did it because I love the car.
